Thanks ... we have cuteFTP to make our job easy.. however 3rd party does exits..

Kiran, there is no direct approach to achieve your requirement using FTP. Hence, you need to write a shell program.
This is as far as I have understood, when we needed this kind of stuff to be done using SFTP.
