the topic is to discuss the importance of food given in our religious practises and how it is being observed in our rituals.

True. Food first, Religion next. (Ref. SDB) But I think this topic is to focus on the issue of relativity of Food to Religion and vice versa.

u r right Mr. Venugopal!spiritual practise reduces/rgulates the habbits which includes food intake since all non essentials will be automatically removed from our system gradually and the most vital aspect of mental regulation brings all these changes. we can compete with Himalayan sages too ,SDB

//by virtue of spiritual practice ur food intake reduces and gets regulated and thus keeping all ur digestive problems away// I am willing to agree to this opinion. But I think it is (keeping digestive problems away, etc.) more due to the acquired positive tendencies which are inherent in spirituality rather than reduction in food intake. Anyway, I feel nothing much has been said so far by Mr. Jogarao on this topic.

But in your own words Atma ramudu will be at peace only when he gets divine food where as the food we eat is for the belly to satisfy our hunger! And it reminds me my own earlier comments about spirituality.I used to criticise my friends that spirituality will not give food so don't go near that but i changed my view after i met one doctor in 1990 (who is no more now ) an opthalomlogist who changed my vision of life by correcting my vision.

It is open to all who so ever is interested. I too felt the same way in the beginning but people here are very friendly and make you feel at ease with their postings and you will really enjoy discussing the topic with brief intervals to make the topic more absorbing . SDB, what i posted here is to find out how best we can make the discussion entertaining as well as enlightening , why do u take my stmt as a trap? why don't you take it as my sincere effort to tune up myself to get alongwith everyone?

Hi... sometimes i am forced to feel that these threads have become just another kind of chat rooms as some people become personal forgetting the real topic thereby diluting the seriousness of the issue. Is it still open for strangers ? or limited to some ?
