Remember me on this computer
well, the beliefs in everybody's hearts are so firmly rooted that they cannot be easily changed.that is the basic problem here.whatever i say, it seems to me as impeccable and you are finding faults in them.i do not really understand why this simple truth of "ekameva adveetayam" (only one,no second thing)is not comprehended by everybody.may be your level and my level of spiritual sadhana are not equal.that is the reason why there is no agreement.as for me, there is no trace of doubt in my mind about "adwaita". i am an engineering final yr student in gitam college ,vizag. i would like to know about all of you as well.can you please let me know.... bye everybody.

I heard that the human birth is the result of evolutionary development of a Jeevi who crossed 84 lakh births before finally taking up the human body, and if he wants to get over this cycle of births and deaths further he needs to realise his original self through his own mind at an elevated stage and that is the purpose of creation- to perpetuate one's own existence through self realisation.

If I can deviate: Whats is ur basic udnerstanding "survival of fittest"?

Posted by: Saleem At: 20, Feb 2004 9:37:35 AM IST
hello everybody, what a tremendous response from everybody! also what a prompt response!but in that the saddest thing is that all of you together had successfully deviated from the topic.i expexted only raghuji to give any response.anyway as we have deviated from the topic into darwin's theory,i would just like to know all of your opinions on that theory. personally, i feel that darwin's theory of "survival of the fittest" is wrong.may be it is true in case of animals but not in the case of humanbeings.the best people who had ever lived on earth reached higher planes of wisdom not through killing others but through sacrifice and so the word fittest should not mean physical strength as darwin meant.it should be mental wisdom rather. coming to the hot topic, i would like to just give a small eg eg:there are two animals.one is an elephant and the other is a dog. the elephant forgot that it is elephant and thinking that it is dog. now, what should anybody do to make both of them elephants. for the elephant wich is thinking that it is a dog, what anybody should do is just to tell it that it is elephant only and not dog i.e.he has to just change the elephant's perception.here no physical change is taking place ,just elephant is getting realisation. on the other hand, if anyone wants to change the dog to elephant, it is impossible because dog and elephant are two different things. SIMILARLY, if we say that there are two different things viz. god and man, then as man is not god , he can never realise god.and in that case all sadhanas are meaningless.the thing is that there is only god and man has forgotten his divine nature.all these sadhanas are to recollect his divine nature and to get that realisation is a herculean task. if man is not god, he can never realise god! the quality of brahman is "maya".just as we cannot separate sweetness from sugar (its quality), so as we cannot separate maya from brahman. that is the basic difference between an ordinary man and avatars. lord krishna knows that he is god , so maya is under his control and so he can do any miracles in this ephemeral world .where as we dont know that truth ,so we are under the control of maya and so we are under its destiny.this is the basic "LAW OF MIRACLES". further if we say that there are two entities, then brahman is no more can be called as "INFINITE" and it also means that there is some place where there is no brahman and at some time there is no brahman. OK! ALL OF YOU WHO ARE FOLLOWING THIS DISCUSSION CLOSELY,PLEASE GIVE YOUR VALUABLE OPINIONS ON THIS TOPIC.
