'style' itself means its unique to each player and hence, incomparable.
as for the temperament and team spirit, sachin is really no less than brian lara. they both have a quiet determination (apart from gaming technique) which lends that so-called "gentelemanliness" to their batting.

if u measure greatness of players with records,then sachin too has many to his credit.
/he doesnt lose his natural style/
sachin too had his natural style but for the team he has changed his natural style and still he is effective.
instead of comparing their negatives if we compare their positives then we can see that both are something unique.

But he doesnt have a 9 yr unbroken record of 375 and 400 runs in test cricket which is unimaginable to any cricketer and the best in the cricket history..
Lara's records speak for him.. Lara is a brave player.. He doesnt lose his natural style when approaching a 100 or 200 or 300 or a 400.
Lara walks out of the field when he knows he is out.. that shows his integrity and sportive spirit

Both of them are individually great. But in the recent times both of them are not playing to their potentials. They have lot of talent but unable to deliver when team requires. Sachin is playing only once in 4 or 5 matches. what the team needs is consistancy. Lara made brilliant 400 in the recently concluded test match. But what about the one day which followed the test match yesterday....... When they are great they should maintain some consistancy which helps the team a lot.

Lara is not an Indian but we respect him as one oft the top most International cricket player like Sachin; Allan Donalds(South Africa) felt happy very much when he took Lara's wicket because he know that he is one of the top batsman ; Alan Donald will get a recognition as a good bowler if he gets him; Now I don't think there could have been any situation between them so it can be compared unless you toss between them.

Each of them have their own style. If you compare with the sachin's style and professionalism he'z great and similarly Lara. What I feel is both of them are born to break records and they will. No doubt both of them are very great!
