In 1.2 bn population naturally it has to grow no wonder. I don't think the growth is contributed by Muslim population alone. If you see the percentage rate of growth it is attributed by the communities other than Muslim.

Hi Malak. You are right. No need to declare. One rule for all is the one what we want now. Hindus already gave up Sati & Child Marriages(lets not consider one or two incidents per year in India. It is completely negligible). Muslims giving up polygamy and multiple kids can be possible if Govt. takes necessary steps. BTW, Why give up polygamy? Why can't we extend it to all religions? One rule for all. j/k

/*Posted by: Mr. Madhu kumar Nemalikanti At: 11, Sep 2004 8:37:58 PM IST 3.Why India alone was declared as a secular state? */ I'm sorry Madhu, I just want to know one thing. Who declared India as a "Secular State"?? Are you sure that India is a secular state? How many people say that India is a secular state? Was it ever a Secular state? I don't know. First of all, what is "Secularism"? Malak, your questions have no answer other than "none". These things only happen in India. Nowhere else in the world.

Some commercial TV giving publicity; Intialy it was 36% later it posted 29.4%. So it was reduced; By the way out of curiosity why it was made an obligation. Under what reasons it is not acceptable and is alrming the existing soceity; 1. Politicians playing big game 2. Are they not part of our soceity / community? 3.Why India alone was declared as a secular state? This is not today's problem and no need to bother the present generation.

Govt/Politicians are tend to talk in favour of these people, just because they want their votes. Thats their nature. Hence, I want to exclude them. Apart from this, these communities go for several kids only because their religion drives for it. Some one said here, "allah de rahaa hai, mai na kyon boloo". Yes, they still say that. Very few educated muslims have small family. Rest are still like that. I had a colleague in my previous company, who was very much younger to me. When I was expecting my first baby, he got married, and now he have 3 kids. He's MCA, software engineer, been to abroad several times... and all. Why? SS, you are right. They were Indians. They were Indian muslims. Now, what we have more here are not Indian muslims, but Pakistani dogs. We have very few Indian muslims now. Take a look at Hyderabad. You'll face so many incidents what Ananth experienced. Saidabad in Hyd is called Indo-pak border. It will get so much tensed during Vinayaka Chaviti. Why? Some one refers Chennai muslims. They don't know Hindi/Urdu. They know only Tamil. They are Tamilians. Else, they can't, just can't survive in Tamil Nadu. No one from any part of the world can survive in Tamil Nadu without being a Tamilian. These tamilians are very particular about their language. We Hindustanis should have this kind of unity. We Hindus should have this kind of unity. Only then we can be peaceful. When terrorists invaded Parliament, our then Govt kept their hands folder after wearing bangles. What is the point in moving entire army from one part of our country to another part of our own country? When Hyderabad police arrested some dogs, those relatives of the dogs barked like any thing. Why did YSR/Jana Reddy put lead in all their nine holes? One big dog also barked "if you won't release them, sare shehar mein halla malla machayenge". What is this? Commissioner then issued a warning without consulting govt. Till then those dogs were barking. If our govt won't bring common civil code and force every one towards family planning, we can't control their growth, terrorism and our nation's growth rate will be always maintained low. We can do wonders if we have less population. But govt is not interested in doing so. Its the saddest point.

It is worth noting that muslim growth rate has declined from 32.9 (adjusted ) to 29.3 where as hindu has declined by 2.8% inthe last decade. Christians increase by 5%. Eeven then there is a whopping 10% difference in the growth rate bet hindus and muslims. If this continues time is not very far for hindus becoming minority in India.

India has released census figures showing that the Muslim community is growing much faster than other groups... comments on please.. Posted by: Mr. telangana bidda At: 8, Sep 2004 10:34:58 PM IST. I think my comments are well within the purpose of this thread. By having common civilcode and implementing family plaaning we can control population growth.

this thread to discuss the popultion growth effects on economy , not abusing one community or religion . please comment how to control ,how it effects indian economy. this is not stuff for hindu hardliners I am absolutely sure that right-wing Hindu groups will misuse this data politically. good and bad in every community/religion. more over my question what about Malthus theory on population and economy .? is that theory failed..?
