U r right ! Every american frnd/aquaintance of mine first asked me for the meaning of her name. They make every effort to pronounce it right and they do an awesome job in pronouncing Aadhya.

She is named Aadhya - as in first or beginning.
I knew of my pregnancy on Varalakshmi vratam day. So I wanted her name to have mythology roots plus a simple two letter unheard of yet meaningful name - more so something that would stand out her identity of a telugu brahmin girl. Americalo putti periginaa thana samskruthi ki deggarlo unde peru pettalani anukunnam.
Many of ammavari/lakshmi ashthoththarams and lalitha sahasranamam in particular has verses like "Aadhyaaya namaha", "Aadhyantharahithe devi aadishakthi maheshwari.." and so on...
I broke the word Aadhya from it since it serves all of our scales. She also is a new beginning in our lives, o koththa andamaina addition/turn and our first born.
** In particular this explanation is for a person who asked me if I would name another girl dviteeya...hehehe...
