No I am talking about the awards given to the people below 35 years of age. One of my friends got it (for the year 2002 I guess) in the field of Mathematics. President Kalam awarded him the thing.

Vevaji, you cant compare a paper in an International Confrence with a Journal Publication - they stand miles apart...
.. and the Young Scientist award is given by the President of India only to a few top researchers in the country ..

I can also say when i said "people will beat him black and blue" i do not mean their literal meaning as manhandling.
One can assume any no.of meanings from what one utters Mr.vachaspati..I think thats more evident from the proceedings going on in TP right now.
yes..I did publish some research findings in some journals way back in 1993 and got award as young scientist.(not to boast of but for your information)
But the press you are talking as news papers..No..I haven't tried except sending few comments in editorials once in a while. But now..i have no such interest too. Ok..you enjoy..i think i have given more info than required Mr.Vachaspati.

Publishing Academic Papers is not a great thing..Amrapaligaru.
My paper went to International Folklore Organisation, USA. I received some invitations too from them. But that's real stuff to face the public. If you don't have interst to write to the press, it's o.k. Public Opinion about an issue can be framed by writing to the Press Only. You can give some suggestions to the Governments also! You can find me in The Hindu quite often in the Letters to the Editorial Column. (Check Tomorrow as there is a posibility of a publication).

Anybody know that what is Sanskritisation and Westernisation process in INdia. Again this concepts were coined by another Brahmin, who is Great Sociologist in India, who died in 1999.
