They formed a system that was suitable to their times, circumstances and knowledge and they followed it thru ages, which they believed good..... ---- 100% right.. mI amkul cheppArA.. Now the political parties and their leaders are not at all interested in bridging the gap...and very quick at fueling it ,....for their own survival.

It is a shame that you are not aware what is haappening. Why should we allow christianas, when they don't have fith in the Lord.

People of other faiths are allowed in temples at places like Tirumala on the condition that they have respect for this system of worship. They have to declare to this effect. Common men of other religions cannot be traced easily. However, prominent politicians may have problems because of their 'popularity'. In olden days, Mr. Jaffer Sharief (once Railway minister) gave a declaration to this efect once and was later 'caught' by his religious heads. He tried to bluff, but the TTD sent a photo copy of his signed declaration to those who inquired about this, and Mr. Sharief was 'chided' by 'his people.' Likewise, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi et al are also supposed to give declarations like this whenever they visit this temple & other prominent temples. 'God' alone knows whether this rule is being followed these days. Any way, if somebody wants to have a darsanam of the Lord, he can do so happily. What is so special about it? Only thing is that it should not be done with a mischievous intention.

EDchinaTTundi. 1. chaalaa dEvaalayaalalO archakulu gaa non brahmins ni appoint chEstunnaaranna vishayam meeku telusaa? 2. ippuDu kooDaa guLlallOki daLitulani raanivvaTam lEdani meekelaa telusu? 3. asalu ee Taapic ki Sabarimala vivaadaaniki rilEshan EnTi? Why do you think it is against womenfolk? I dont think so. It is the tradition followed by the temple. They have a reason for not allowing women above 10 yrs and below 50 yrs of age. Not allowing dalits into temples and not allowing womenfolk into Sabarimala temple are two different issues. Infact not allowing women into sabarimala temple is not an issue at all. It is an issue made out of nuting.

One more thing... I have a close friend who is a Christian. He has a Christian name. His cousin is an IAS Officer in TTD right now. He is in the 2nd level, after TTD EO. He too has a Christian name something like Thomas or Matthew. I don't mind or I don't get angry about this. Because..... This IAS officer took his entire family including my close friend to the Temple and they all had "Darsanam". It happened very recently. My friend, who is a Christian, felt so happy while explaining all this to me. He said, he felt that every Christian should be allowed to Tirupati temple. One more thing, he and all his family members ate Prasadam - the Laddu. Isn't it a great thing?! If you allow all Dalits and Christians in to the Tirupati temple, do we ever need to worry about religious convertions anymore? But I know that it will not happen... So, I am interested to build a Temple for Everybody - where priests welcome anybody will a smile, with love - not with a face full of pride and prejudice.

I once again request everybody to read the article I mentioned in my posting (I started this thread, so, please go to the first posting in this thread). Please everybody understand that the problem is not "Brahmins" anymore. It's the caste system, which is currently under control by the Sudras. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT ANTI-BRAHMIN. I am a supporter of Brahmins. People will understand the reason why I started this thread if you read the original article. What I wanted to say is this..... Class system (Caste system in India) is everywhere in the world. In Europe and USA too. Whoever is in power (economical, political or whatever), they only try to rule. Now, my request to Brahmins is this: Whatever happened is already happened. Now, Hinduism, which is the essense of India, is at stake as so many Dalits are getting attracted by Christianity. If the trend continues, Hinduism, our great temples, historical places, sentiments will be at risk. See the latest issue on Sabarimala Temple with respect to Women. If Brahmins come forward, if they take a bold step and start welcoming everybody to the Temples - then, the Temples will prosper and Indian Temples will become great Tourist places for everybody in the world. Temple lands will not be taken over by anybody anymore. If Brahmins take the lead, and follow what Adi Sankaraacharya said 1000 years ago, and start welcoming Dalits to the Temples, it will do good to the society and the country overall. If anybody wants to start a huge temple project in Coastal Andhra Pradesh to allow Dalits, Christians and anybody on the earth, I would like to donate 100,000 dollars as my own contribution. Please everybody understand - if we fight like this, one day, a great religion of 5,000 years history will extinct. In the west, there are Churches for various communities. Churches for Blacks, Churches for Rich, Churches for Poor etc. But, they don't mention that. Anybody is allowed anywhere, but people don't like to go to a place where they don't feel comfortable anyway. For example, even if the Church allows everybody, will an orthodax Hindu go there? In New Jersey (USA), there is a Church for Telugu people also. Why? Is it because of Caste system in Churches in USA? It's because Telugu Christians want to get together at one place. They can go to any church in the world, but they feel more comfortable at a Telugu church. But, if one church announces that they will not allow Indians, everybody will feel hurt. Same way, if a Dalit or a Christian or a Muslim wants to come to a temple, why should we restrict them? If a Woman wants to come to Sabarimala temple, let her come. Why should we allow Supreme Court and Kerala Government involved in this? I am sorry, if I am hurting anybody. Everybody is welcome to comment.
