Dear Mr. Vachaspaty, You said you want to vote for Mr. Manmohan Singh next time. Be it. But one question - Is he the same Manmohan Singh who was given a free hand to go ahead regarding globalisation (thanks to the 'presently unsung' Narasimharao) and did something good to the country? Even a primary school boy can easily understand as to who is ruling the country by proxy! You should have heard the two words - 'de jure' = as per law 'de facto' = in reality If you are convinced that Mr. Manmohan Singh is able to act independently, you are welcome to hold that view. But what many people are already aware is that only puppets and rubber stamps are given this opportunity when the main person is denied the same due to one reason or the other! So, you are going to vote for the 'de facto' person! I cannot wish you best of luck in this regard.

Naga Naresh Karuturi has just passed out of IIT Madras in Computer Science and has joined Google in Bangalore. You may ask, what's so special about this 21-year-old when there are hundreds of students passing out from various IITs and joining big companies like Google? Naresh is special. His parents are illiterate. He has no legs and moves around in his powered wheel chair. (In fact, when I could not locate his lab, he told me over the mobile phone, 'I will come and pick you up'. And in no time, he was there to guide me) Ever smiling, optimistic and full of spirit; that is Naresh. He says, "God has always been planning things for me. That is why I feel I am lucky." Read why Naresh feels he is lucky. http://specials.rediff.com/news/2008/jul/28sl1.htm TP.com should publish this article Mr. Kumar No intelligence, no virus, no Tadka - Please read the article about a Telugu person and spread the message.

Though the issue of Confidence Motion aroused as the Left Parties withdrew support to the Government over the Nuclear Deal, but the debate failed to debate the technicalities of the deal and failed to provide enlighten the people of India, though it is proved that many of our politicians are corrupted and take commissions in development schemes, though in the direction of Mr.Advani bringing of currency bundles to the floor is an irresponsible act by the BJP MPs, the Government must continue or fall over the policy matters but not by these illogical, irrational, irresponsible characters in the world’s biggest democracy. I congratulate The Hindu for publishing the undelivered reply by Mr. Manmohan Singh. Mr. Manmohan Singh gave a fitting reply to Mr.Advani for his remarks in the parliament. He even ready to sacrifice his government. One must appreciate the confidence of Mr. Prime Minister regarding the future of power sector in India. When Mr. Manmohan Singh introduced liberalization in India as Finance Minister, the same BJP contested elections with ‘Swadeshi’ slogan and Left too bitterly opposed it. Later the BJP or Left Governments never thought of reversing the process of Liberalization and even tried to get benefited from it in various States. If Mr. Manmohan Singh firmly believes in Nuclear Deal, as he did in case of Liberalization, if this Nuclear Agreement will end India’s nuclear isolation, nuclear apartheid and enable India to take advantage of International Trade in nuclear materials, technologies and equipment – I firmly believe in him as he categorically assured the Nation through his speech that nothing in the Nuclear Agreements prevents India conducting further (nuclear) tests. I am not member of any political party, but socialist by core, will vote for the Congress (I), if Mr. Manmohan Singh is its Prime Ministerial candidate in the next election. (Posted to The Hindu just now). If Mr.N. Ram considers it, it may appear tomorrow.

Nuclear Deal is to toppel present UPA Governament. It's strange that left did not react for pollution, unemployment problems in the country but they reacted very strongly to Nuclear Deal. Is there any guarantee after toppling the present govt the incoming Governament will not sign nuclear deal?
