staying on hotels....do you know how to tell if those mirrors in the bathroom are one-way or not, I mean I've heard some hotel owners like nantho use a see-through from the other side just to kill the curious cat! :P
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 5:59:49 AM IST //this reminds me that 75% of the guest who stay at my motel never bath- and u 're talking of a developed country/ what a tragedy//
Just between you and me, have you installed those one-way mirrors in the bathrooms or some-kind of cc-tv!!? :P
//ps: i only order bath soaps once in six months whereas other utilities like toilet paper-thank god, every 2 weeks.//
and you reckon those missing soaps to have been consumed during stay - try desis who clean up everything before they leave! :P
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 5:42:10 AM IST I think seriously they dont realize it or feel it or are immuned to their own smell, you know like.....:P
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 5:23:54 AM IST "Why some Indians wear stinky socks for a week?"
I wonder if the person does not realize it or should we put these ppl under the sinus-affected-nose-under-repair category? Or is it the attitude of too much 'savings' which extends from money to one's laundry too? :-)
The best part is when they remove 'em...now both pairs (socks and feet) start to dominate the aroma of the ambience!! :P
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 5:07:31 AM IST //Arjuna, you're far too serious for a Friday mate! It's time to let the hair down and paint the town(TP) red! Right, Ananth??//
I am still under the spell of horripilation to let the hair down Mags....perchance you could sing in hindi/telugu at your best which should help! :P
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 4:54:27 AM IST lmao ananth....you never cease to amaze us!!
Reserving the Facts part of the "Amazing Facts and Figures" to our Mags, you sure qualify to be the numero uno candidate for the "Figure" part .... lol :P
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 4:48:53 AM IST and the muscle contraction is due to the involuntary discharge of some kind of thing from one segment of the nervous system, and there is a similar explanation for animals like cat whose bristles straighten up indicating fear/fright attitude....blab blab blab...lol
this is what I really call a "plug-in" and does not exactly qualify as a genuine doubt, dont get me wrong we can open an exclusive for the "Amazing Facts and Figures" thread if need be! :P
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 4:45:33 AM IST Lets hear from the coups who are the direct participants - I am sure they must also in some corner in their mind be feeling a li'l shy of their actions for fear of getting noticed and frowned upon by co-desis who are everywhere around! :-)
rightly put nantho...its still a taboo!
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 16, Jul 2004 4:42:06 AM IST was awaiting your arrival Maggies...:-)
here you go...
first of all that was an example, but since you highlighted it we'll treat it as the next doubt/question!
"Why do Indian couples hug/kiss in public....abroad?"
My opinion - I think its mostly a show-off by ppl who were immigrated and not born/brought up here, because this kind of thing has always been a private affair back home since thats the tradition/culture we've been brought up with and you dont see ppl doing this in public in India atleast until the western culture started hitting us at home!
