| Ah come on Malak, its not as if we are using profanity or vulgar language here! Its just the Rating. You could convey a message with Rated 'R' or with 'PG-13', but the fact remains the same.
People(and Gods) have done what they did and they did it in the way that pleased them. I am not sure why we should be fighting over it!

It aint Sarcasm, it was a direct thing ...
Even MF Husseain said he didnt mean to insult Goddess Saraswati.... the only difference is that you used Nasty Lingo and he used Nasty Paint brush ...
But answer my question .. Would you be happy if someone uses the same words on you or any of the members of your family?

Sure sure Cluey,
Romance doesnt mean usage of foul language, especially when it is related to Gods. I would write something about your parents like this and call it communication mixed with entertainment ... Do you feel happy?
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 6, Dec 2006 0:13:13 AM IST Hey Malak, its just a matter of communication mixed with entertainment.
You could debate whether we need entertainment or not, but if you look at the epics and stories, they wouldnt be much interesting if they did not add spice to it.
Moreover, there was too much of sugar coating and cover-ups, like drinking payasams and giving birth or putting the queen and the sage in one room and a pale son is born? Come on, give me a break! And not to mention promiscuity and bigamy (or hetero)!
The epics are incomplete without all these romantic situations and scenarios. It just depends how you portray it, but the bottomline is in the receiving of the message and that differentiates the ignorant from the wise - my 80 paise! :-)
Posted by: చంటోడు At: 6, Dec 2006 0:03:42 AM IST And By the way I never asked you to stop it .. I cant, for you have your freedom of speech .. All I said was that I was unnecessarily angry with MF Hussain, ignoring the fact that Hindus insult themselves and dont need others to do that job :))
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 5, Dec 2006 11:26:30 PM IST Exactly! You use those words on Friends ... Not on GODS.
My friends use F words on their friends too ... would you justify that usage in Ramayan?
I am very much used to those words and I DO KNOW WHERE THEY ARE USED and thats why I have said nobody who respects his or her God would use such a nasty lingo on Gods.
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 5, Dec 2006 11:20:48 PM IST I said I have seen Burra Katha and none of these foul words was used in that ...
So you mean to say In Janagaon, people use words like "Howla" and "Beat kottuko" in Ramayan?

Yes, these people are not sophisticated ...agreed ... but will you jump with joy if someone abuses your dad in the guise of representing the masees?
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 5, Dec 2006 11:15:59 PM IST Tell me one thing ...
Would you celebrate if someone uses the words (the ones that you have used in your text) on your parents, like Howla, Beat Kottukunta etc?
Would you be jumping with joy if a villager calls your loved one "Howla?"
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 5, Dec 2006 11:07:10 PM IST I was at Aler, not too far from Janagaon and none of these foul words have been used in Ramayana Burra Kathas. The only instance where I heard this was when I heard a casette released by Kota Srinivasarao..
Yeah,
It depends on how you see things ... when you use its PURE and when others use its FILTHY? Hmmmmm
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 5, Dec 2006 11:01:46 PM IST Well all I can say is it depends on how you see things Malak jee :)
