good to argue on this topic I still have supportive thoughts on this front any way we will discuss this on tomorrow. Just imagine untilizing capacity is the same for men or women. She completed and looking for a job but didn't get. Same for men also. That way you can't blame her taking up course or giving her seat to some boy isn't it. You need to create opportunities for jobs in our own place. You look at the percentage and benefits by doing those course by women. There is scope for them also getting job and happy taking up these courses.
It's not sure boy gets job if the girl leaves that position. Again we speak about luck and dynamics of if and buts. More we talk tomorrow.
Have good night and take care
Posted by: Mr. Sagar M At: 9, Sep 2003 8:29:17 PM IST Sir, I'm just worried/bothered about the %age of these women utilizing the opportunity. Istead of a girl doing BTech and sitting idle, the same seat can be given to a man, who (may) get a job for him and his family. This is the point I'm stressing much. Our country is less in job opportunities... and can we afford this kind of situation?
Coming to migration, I hate myself for beingin Chennai. But I'm forced to. 'coz, our CM shows 70mm Dolby scope cinema but in reality, where are the big companies in Hyd? How many? Can I get a job there, in a good company, if not the world's second biggest company? No. So, yes, then AP deserves teh fall in literacy rate. Its svayamkrutam. Govt has to do something to attract companies.
I'll quote an example. Our company big people in US thought of having its fourth facility in India. They enquired about places. They shortlisted Hyd, B'lore, Pune and ranked Hyd as 1. Then, they came to India, the head in India and them started 'negotiations' in Hyd. Finally, they set up the fourth facility in Chennai itself(the third one in Chennai), in TIDEL Park, rather than HiTech City in Hyd. WHY? Harassment. anyway, they need to bribe people. upon that, why does they need to face harassment? In TamilNadu, these people take money and do the work without any hassle. But its different in AP. So, tell me, who is responsible for falling of literacy rate and migration? Not us! And the solution for this is NOT TO INCRAESE THE RESERVATIONS TO 50% for women!
Anyways, nice argument with you sir, would like to hear on this tomorrow morn, I'm going home, Good Day.

one shouldn't make distinguish based on branch. Bringing up this reservation only giving them an opportunity to participate in these courses. If you check up women participation in these course was very less in earlier days. It's much more now. The way uplifting lower caste people is the same reservation. Otherwise there was not much scope of their participation. By doing job only the way you think utilizing their knowledge or degree, I purely disagree. It gives them self confidence, self relaiability and self esteem too. Let's take rest of the 65% how many people are getting jobs and how many people are having flying colours in their lifes. Does that mean we should decrease number of seats in those areas. If you check up AP, the literacy rate reduced as per sensus. You know the reason, all educated people are migrating to Tamilnadu/Karnata/Maharastra. The way we look at the things should change and it's happening now in India. Unless we bring them into main stream it's difficult to get hold on our development path.
