Similary it was a waste expenditure to spend on your and my education too since WE ARE NOT contributing anything! When we ourselves have wated the Govt money what right do we have to question the doctors? Posted by: chitti At: 9, Dec 2007 2:54:46 AM IST ____________________________________________ kaanTibution unnappuDu aDigE hakku undi and THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE PERIOD OF CONTRIBUTION - THEY ARE NOT ASKING FOR BENEFITS FOR THE ONE WEEK STRIKE PERIOD ..

The Govt has every right to dismiss them for going on strike! Let the govt take action or 'severe action' - If the doctors are determined enough then they will be able to make the sacrifizes!

AND YES, they are asking the govt to provide them security AFTER THEY RETURN TO WORK .. SO ALL THE TIME THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE PERIOD OF WORKING ..NOT THE PERIOD OF STRIKE!

More over, what I meant was this - WHEN YOU YOURSELF MADE THE GOVT SPEND MONEY FOR YOUR EDUCATION, WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO QUESTION THE GOVT TO STOP FUNDING THE MEDICAL EDUCATION?

When they were on duty, the public failed to contribute enough to them and they are questioning the public about that period! They have the right to ask the public about its role when the docs were on duty .. The same way we have the right to question the doctors for what they did in the 80s or 90s when were were contributing! And we can ask the questions even now!

Is the Govt willing to go on loss of pay for its failure to protect the doctors? Or is it willing to dismiss itself for the failures? Posted by: chitti At: 9, Dec 2007 2:34:32 AM IST ____________________________________________ They are talking about the period when they were contributing .. not about the period they were not .. AND YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE PERIOD OF "NOT CONTRIBUTION"!

HR commission or even court can not take any severe action - The worst they can do is to cancel their licenses - Nobody can deny the Doctor's right of Not working ... THE GOVT HAS EVERY RIGHT TO DISMISS THEM - LET IT DISMISS THEM FROM THE SERVICES AND THEN FACE THE CONSEQUENCES!

Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 9, Dec 2007 2:33:03 AM IST
THE PUBLIC/GOVT IS NOT ANSWERABLE FOR THE LAST ONE WEEK WHEN THE DOCS WERE OFF THE DUTY .. BUT THE PUBLIC/GOVT IS DEFINITELY ANSWERABLE FOR ITS FAILURES FOR THE PAST ONE YEAR! THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE PERIOD WHEN THEY CONTRIBUTED .,. THEY WERE ATTACKED WHEN THEY WERE CONTRIBUTING! THEY ARE NOT TALKING ABOUTHTE LAST ONE WEEK!

By the way the HR commission has said that they would cancel their licenses ... but not about Punishment - So if the doctors are seripous about their movement then they must be prepared to forego their licenses or even their jobs! They must be willing to make the sacrifices if they are serious about their movement ... if they compromise then its their problem! Posted by: chitti At: 9, Dec 2007 2:25:07 AM IST ____________________________________________ They are questioning the Public about the period when they were on duty (since october 2006 to December 1 2007) - the doctors were on duty but the public failed in its responsibilities!

Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 9, Dec 2007 2:27:56 AM IST
Yes, Technically speaking the Human Rights Commission does not have any right to warn them! The HR commission would have had the right had they not brought the doctors under the purview of the consumer forum ..the moment they brought them under the consumer forum, it mean tthat they have recoginized the doctors as merchants but not servants. The doctors are fighting for about this too and the issue is still unresolved!
