( "." is nothing...its just written for space.....)
Each letter M,A,R,S,V,E,N,U,T,P represents a unique number in the range 0 - 9
the numbers 1 and 6 are used more frequently,
what does the number NEPTUNE represent?

\\\\ grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ////
Posted by: MONARCH 007 At: 2, Nov 2003 11:18:55 PM IST next step choodandi
X = 180 + Z
putting in first equation,
Y = 72 - Z
then X + Y + Z =??? kudaradu
so....even for 60 and 90 also....solution only when its 72.....otherwise no solution...
because there r two equations and two variables,there wont be one solution.........there r infinite solutions.....hence "unique" solution doesnot exist......
Posted by: Raj Sekhar At: 2, Nov 2003 9:25:10 PM IST Yeah ..if u replace 60 and 90 with some other numbers ..u will get different answer.
Posted by: విజయ్ At: 2, Nov 2003 9:09:55 PM IST If 72 is replaced with 36:
1st equation will be X/60 + Y/36 + Z/90 = 5 and 2nd will be X/90 + Y/36 + Z/60 = 4
By Subtracting 2nd from 1st we get:
X/180 - Z/180 = 1
(X - Z)/180 = 1
X - Z = 180
X = 180 + Z
And so on..as in my previous explianation!!
Posted by: విజయ్ At: 2, Nov 2003 9:08:43 PM IST alaa kaadandi vijaya garu.....
ayinaa rendu subtarct chesthe,
Z = 180 + X avuthundi and if u take "36" in place of "72" u cant get the answer....if u can......then tell whats the answer.....
