Restore Telugu Pride

It was strongly believed by everyone that Telugu is subsect of Tamil in every nature; Tha's the reason AP is treated part of Tamilnadu. Simultaneously film industry behaved liked Telugu has no identification at all. If there is it is Tamil. Making movies together dubbing together lost it's own identity and struggling for existence.

i know telugu well donn ya worry abt it. but compare and tell me sir, am ignorant.I noe only telugu. how dravidian and aryan classification done in lingos? wuts da deal abt em n telugu?

Thanks for reminding me. Ms Rosey, you don't need to take your univs lingo course again. You can understand the difference if you compare Telugu with those Dravidian lingos. Wut dravidian lingos du ya no? ya try 2 no bat Telugu 1st nd kampar vit da lingos! cheers.

dis is how a discussion goes here? telugu doent belong to dravidian lingos? damn new theory? wut etomology books u refering to bahudoorapu? tell me abt da characterstics of indo-aryan n indo-dravidian lingos phuleez? do i need to take my univs lingo course again :(

Also, I can say that I welcome any good friends. But I don't think that any one here, NTvODu or Madhu or Mrs Padmahasta or any one will simply mail me, just because they found one e-mail id. Mr.Vachaspati, The word "Dravida" is apparently etymologically related to "Tamila". Also, the word "Dravida" was always used to indicate "Tamil" in Telugu and elsewhere. As proof: I am a "Dravida" Brahmin since my ancestors migrated up North to Andhra from "Dravida" country (Tamil speaking areas) 500 or so years ago. That doesn't make me a "Dravidian" by race - such a concept did NOT exist. Any resident of Tamil country was a "Dravida" just like anyone who is a citizen of India is an "Indian". As for Telugu being "Dravidian" - now why would we call ourselves "Dravida" in Andhra unless the people around us were NOT called Dravida? "Dravida" simply means "Tamil" and should be kept at that. The concept of "Dravidian Languages" has been coined by British Indologists - it is a very dangerous misnomer leading to confusion - Telugu has always had an independent identity from Tamil - historically and contemporarily. Also, what Bahudoorapu Batasari said is correct - Telugu is NOT born from Tamil. It is related, but only as a cousin.
