Posted by: DoBoy At: 11, Jul 2005 5:33:12 PM IST Hi,prashanthi, During my work experience,i did see such things.Girls do keep pulling boys legs, but when a boy pulls a girl's leg, at times the girls take it too seriously , and lo next moment , they are in tears. What i meant was, when a girl weeps in the office, people conclude so many things, naturally the boy who cut the joke will have the last laugh then, it is too embrassing becoz, many dont know the actual cause and conclude different things on their own.

Doboy, the scene u projected is funny. But do u feel the position of male in reality is as such? I don't think so.
Posted by: Ms. Prasanthi Uppalapati At: 11, Jul 2005 3:25:31 PM IST lol, male position is mostly like that, else biggest assets girls have is tears, once they have it, the male is lost out of his senses, that too in public.

Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 11, Jul 2005 2:16:27 PM IST Two colleagues one boy and girl were alloted a two seater in the company bus., The everyday ritual was that since the girl was orthodox, straight she kept her lunch box bag between him and her, since it was in the morning everyday and box was just packed, the lunch box was really piping hot & the guy's thighs always bore the burn marks and he bore the brunt in silent? He could not much, becoz, as the bus was full and also if he requested the girlto move the bag, it would have other meanings? Pity the boy in such cases? Just think over :)?
Posted by: DoBoy At: 11, Jul 2005 12:25:45 PM IST Is there one political party/person who supports FC, the way they support the other castes for political votes. Who cares for Forward caste person, who comes from extremely poor family, say an LDC in an government/private sector, can he afford his son or daughter'education in professional courses like say fashion technology or Business schools, even though the son or daughter is talented/or a merit student? Can he later marry them and can he even build a house at the time of retirement, there are so many who cannot do that. Even ration cards are denied now. When one of our PM was from AP, there were great expectations from him for the state and its citizens? But nothing much happened, that is greatness of Andhraites? When our own people don't do much, we can neither expect other's do much.

Story: Kid says to dad, "since you know my mommy ..I will go know yours".
Moral: Reservation because of socio-ridiculouso-historical reasons is like kids knowing their grannies because their dads knew their moms once upon a time.
Posted by: Vertically Challenged At: 18, May 2005 2:07:36 AM IST .Why should a 21st century Brahmin from an extremely poor family be denied entry into the job system because we want to provide the opportunity to a " supposedly " abused lower class candidate? Isn't it directly against what our constitution stands for?...
...
NO. It's not against the constitution. One can take expert opinion in this regard. In India reservations arent provided merely on economic basis, but socio-historical reasons. OBC Criteria was added by VP Singh, that too for the vote bank politics that added economic criteria for the reservations.
Posted by: Mr. Vachaspathi V At: 17, May 2005 6:31:14 PM IST Minorities in India don't have to have any fear of just exterminated overnight(like in Germany a half a century ago)
Minorities in India don't have to have the constant thought in the back of their mind that they are inferior to the majority(Like the black people in US)
...
But it's a fact.
Its due to the dominant political parties by dominant religions community activities created such kind of bonhomie. Vote Bank Politics by Rajiv Gandhi and VP Singh, Mulayam, and other Muslim leaders, who r struggling to safeguard their positions and status.
...The problem is Votes of Minorities decides the fate of elections in most of the times. Hence, most parties try to woo them sacrifising something crusial.
