Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 24, Nov 2004 9:40:41 AM IST A few reports do say Veerappan did a lot to the Villages around Satyamangalam Jungle. Does it make him a social worker too?
(As I mentioned sometime back .. Can we call him St. Veerappan?)
There are a few things to be kept in mind when u call something social work ..
First of all, the service should be selfless - You shouldnt expect anything in return
Second, You must be able to serve even your opponents too
and Third You are not supposed to throw abuses and insults at anyone during hte course of your service
How many of those things are met with, in this case, is really a question to be answered

One can live without Missionaries too :))
What I meant to say was that Social service is something the doesnt expect anythign in return and if you are expectinmg something back its no more a service but just business
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 24, Nov 2004 8:47:45 AM IST Dalit christians , forward christians are categorised by govt for the upliftment of dalit chritstians. But, Christians among them do have such descrimination ?
_____________________________________________
The term DALIT CHRISTIANS has come from Christian groups themselves. I am not sure whether the Govt gives any reservation for Dalit Christians. Even in the missionary schools the Dalit christians are definitely discriminated against, though not publicy...
If one doesnt want to be a Hindu, then why should one want to avail the Hindu Reservations?
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 24, Nov 2004 8:44:15 AM IST ***** After their converstion , i guess they can't change their category Nagesh. That details i am not sure. that is why I put a question to Malak whether he can tell me if he knows. *********
Yes they can change their category... but they wouldn't becase they will go into less reservation category (BC-C 1%) where as SC-ST is 15%.

****** Does our Law very strict if someone got discriminated ? ****
No Law in this world is leak proof. Every countries law has its own loop holes.
We can't send them back by law. only we can restrict them by law or by people.
