to oppose u...?maybe...possible...my point was not that "women should not drink"...my point was "not to drink "...be it men or women...i personally don't drink...and as i am residing in a hostel...after ragging..all of us had to drink...we were forced to drink...that developed the habit in many...but there are also many who didn't...
if u ask abt equality..of rights..i would say a woman can do whatever a man can...but when it's wroung...i or u should know...that we shouldn't do it...
can u really say drinking helps u a lot..? a lot more than that it damages...?that's my point...
and finally...when u want to do it...u will do it and not even god can stop it..why should i try..? anyway..sorry if i hurt ur feelings..and the same for u too angel...

(you put 2 different time zones of a lifecycle together lady).
Read between the lines dude,i dont think thats what shreya meant by her comments. N morover shez not putting 2 different timezones of a lifecycle together. They can cook,maintain the house while having a drink/smoke cant they? No one needs to visit a pub to have a booze.Moreover, women dont bear a child every year/every month,do they? so that is not a hassle for them to visit pubs. There is no issue of clubbing 2 different timezones together here.
anyways,coming to influence of xternal cities apart from hyd, AP consumes more liquor than any other state in the country. And Hyderabad tops the cities for being the best guzzlers :) Who drink more? hydbadis or bloreans? You werent influenced by the city, but by ppl you hung arnd with. You MIGHT(not would) have done the same(booze,etc),if you were in any other city.

ppl are sensible enuf to decide whats good for them, they need not take cues from any1. Moreover, if u behave like salman khan, you will make a complete fool of yourself for trying to be someone,rather than being urself. BE YOURSELF.
Moreover,FYI, Protima Bedi did a streaker on the bombay roads in the early 70's. Its her choice,she chose to.
bottomline is, stop being sexist. Everything resolves down to an individual's choice. And stop trying to be goodie,goodie n high priests of culture n society. Who the heck is anyone to question an individual's lifestyle?.HuH

i think u r educated....and i believe education lets u think....but i don't find u thinking...the discussion is abt smoking and drinking...not abt spending money or being prestigious....
and i don't think someone would advice u to smoke or drink...if guys do it...why should gals too do it...?
i think when it's wroung...noone should do it...not u..not me...
and when the matter comes to the difference when i do it and when u do it...it's upto u...if u feel smoking and drinking gives u so much of pleasure...no
one is going to stop u....not me, at least...
i think u were been in india for quite some time...and u know the culture here...how girls behave at house..and that stuff...so u don't expect a girl to do it...at least when it's harmful to health...

cut this sexist argument about girls spending long hours in public places/pubs. there were similar arguments raised in few of the discussion boards earlier. Dont you realise that its an individual's personal choice, how to lead his/her life? I agree, dat few things might not be acceptable to you, but that all depends upon the observer's perspective. Something wrong to you might be right to someone else.
Times are changing mate, keep up wid them or you will be left out pondering over like a philosopher.
