Dear Mr pati,
I was quick in typing so I missed one thing and I am sorry.
" our people are turning to this culture ", this here refers to the western culture. And I said that our culture is the best, but I dint say anything about ppls intellect(Their capability to realise that our culture is the best). Though culture is defined through people , What I meant were the practices and the life style. Hope u got my point.

culture is a protocol
protocols should adopt changes
but culture is not adopting the changes
there is no best or worst in culture
when i feel one thing is best it may
not best for others..
when people say i do what i like no body can control
when we say i do what others like you r controled by somebody
When we born and broguht up in one culture we like to adopt to that
culture.but there is nothing wrong in adopting the best from
other cultures
as i posted before also there is no guidlines u can make not to
take dowry r there is no guidline u can make to marry a good guy r a girl
When you think to live happy and feel happy all these things wont affect
your life...

Thanks Kalyan. In my opinion root cause for dowry system is "girl or their parents always look for a boy who is better in earning potential than the girl", the gap is often bridged using dowry.
A doctor girl marrying a bank clerk boy is very rare, but a doctor boy marrying an uneducated girl is more common (magic is dowry)...

Hi rambabu...You are correct. Our culture is the best... But the saddest part is that our people are turning to this culture but no one realises the aftermath of getting into this. I have read somewhere that, here close to 80 percent of kids grow up with a single parent and also at the age of 40 lot of people turn to psychaitrists cos life becomes so complicated basically, bcos(Ex: Multiple marriages, Blind dates, One night stands, Divorces etc) and people also forget what true love is. God shud help us!!!!!!!!
