I still dont udnerstand why Nehru alone was blamed for kashmir just becuase he was the PM. But he was not a dictator to just make his own decisions, it was a collective action of congress lobby which also includes " patel". The mistake the lobby did was reporting kashmir problem to UN, a great historical mistake. Then that game was brutally played by birtish , US, pak n the so called sher-e-kashmir " shake abdullah".
Jinnah may be more capable of leading his lobby not country. Yes it triggered the communal problem when jinnah was not offered PM postion. and trust me if jinnah was offered a PM position really India would have been a different country, way different in worst sense. when he was not offered jinnah he wanted pakistan n PM position of pak. As soos as he got, the first thing he did was marching his tribal troops towards kashmir, such a cunning mind jinnah was. So dont make him great :)
I still say great statesman like nehru was the more capable PM at that time.

Meemu maa juniors ni casual rag chesthunnamu. Dani lo okadu baaga talented--great scorer. Maa college daggara oka "Subhash Chandra Bose" vigraham undi. Nadusthu, matladuthu vadini vigrahaniki salute cheyyamannamu(vigraham kooda salute posture lone untadi). Vadu salute kotti vacchhaka "evariki salute kottavo thelusa ?" ani adigithe...Mr.Medhavi answer--"yes sir, Sardhar Vallabbhai Patel" annadu.

Thanks Usha, for the dates(I'm poor in history) and figures and in-depth discussion, that I couldn't put due to lack of knowledge. It is certainly not the co-incidence that we both refer the same issues. They are facts.
