A product by different manufacturers. Like cement is manufactured by
1. ACC ; Associated companies
2. L&T
3. Gujarat ambuja
4. Madras Cement
like so many. Every one got their own dealer / stockist. The question arises how much discount is offered by the manufactureer. For a shopkeeper he is least bothered about which brand he is selling. he is just interested in which brand gives more commission for himm.
In case of Cocacola they get profit by not producing product and not selling in the market. Thay's why when you ask Cocacola they say there is no dealer and price is incresed pay some extra money to get the required brand you wanted.

if you dont want to have cold drinks then you can get away . how about others?? more over its more than a Billion dollor industry in india. gives employement to many .. government collects taxes so income for the government .
there should be tighter norms and the government should strictly monitior .
