...cont to my previous posting. Hence, I don't want the society where the bridegrooms are purchased(instead, leased).

When women are working, then why should we look at the petty katnam? We can avoid katnam, and give a pose as if we are against katnam(thus gaining more value at girl)! At the same time, we keep getting the constant income from wife(around 25k per annum an avg) against one-time katnam amount(around 5 laks). Men are intelligent! Aren't we?

Now a days working girls are bold enough to reject matches demanding katnam and boys also are comingout openly not to insist on katnam . so the dowry problem is slowly receding- am i right?

//You should not give This statement sounds clear and good. The other part... hmmm... faded ... gone with wind... can't hear properly. Anyways, I agree with you, Apna, for the thing what I heard from you! Thanks.

Finally, one question! What is the aim of this thread? Means, If some one is for Katnam, then what? If some one is against Katnam, then what? Some one can explain me please!

Well, I agree with you Anupama akkaa... fully. Some, if not all, of VeVa's articles were with good sense. I was doing that when I was away from DBs, by taking prints home and reading them on bed before sleeping (I didn't get any night mares... though babha came into dreams). Yes, we should appreciate his efforts. But only one suggestion... they should be a bit short! rachanA Saili lO konchem chinna mArpu techchi, konchem saiju taggistE, nAlAnToLLu(badhdhakapu vedhavalu) konchem chadavalagaru

You poor akka, why do you want to search for meanings in VeVa's words? If you try to "understand" his words, sentences, articles, then I may not be able to see you in India in proper condition. Please, for my sake, come back properly. Hope you'll... Thanks.
