Cricket and Sports: Anything on Sports | Indian Contingents found guilty in Dope Test in Olympics. Who are responsible for this sad state of affairs? | |
| The problem is, basically INdia don't have sports cult. Few players representing India with too much expectations.....coaches are pressured by the authorities, they inturn pressurise the players...ultimately....this kind of situations results.

No need for Sunil Dutt to resign. He is a sincere person. Congress inefficacy. (Not much here). Corruption, indeed, it is everywhere.
We do need Olympics. International approval, our testing system, not possible. Definitely Videsi Kutra will be there not to let it happen. (Our Age old Herbs etc., etc., can't be patented under our flag).
Why we have to look? May it is because everyone do so.
If 9th point is the reason, we have to blame and punish our sports authorities. Officials.
Who bothers? We have to bother, ofcourse.
I personally feel 'Officials, authorities' in the sports ministry for this sad state of affairs.
Posted by: Ms. Prasanthi Uppalapati At: 21, Aug 2004 10:38:08 AM IST At last we had something to discuss.
1. Sunil Dutt should resign.
2. Cong (I) inefficacy.
3. Videsi Hastam
4. opposition kutra
5. Corruption
6. Do we need Olympics
7. Why not we have our own testing system that can be approved interbationally.
8. Why have to look for atandard supplier in this regard.
9. We are not aware these are out dated or prohibited.
finally lastly
10. Who bothers.
The above list can be used for feed back from the citizens to know their opinions.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 20, Aug 2004 9:24:33 PM IST Women weightlifters Sanamachu Chanu and Pratima Kumari tested positive for using banned drugs at the Olympics. Just this year another Indian woman lifter Sunaina had failed a dope test at the Asian championships at Kazakhstan.
"More than the officials, I am upset with both the coaches whom we trust completely," said Pratima.
"First they make us travel to Belarus, then we go back to India before we come to Athens. How do you expect us to recover in such a short time and deliver our best. Just look at the other competitors, they are so fit and ready," said N Kunjarani Devi, Weightlifter, India.
What is your opinion on this whole episode?
