| Estimated loss of 500 crores every year.
How and who?
I feel it's the time lost without any production. Payback is just a few rs interms of entertainment tax fr the govt. How much time and mney is wasted fr the govt. network without any income.
In China they run rollers over the pirated items ( India still better) that's all nothing can be done.

In our "hell", for the new movie "Dugumba Sankar", you know what was the ticket price? Rs 100. Apart from that, 5 for bike parking, soft drinks are 15, pop corn is 15(he'll have two varieties listed, one for 10 and another for 15, but always sells the 15 one only). And that too in Casino theatre.
Long Live Video Piracy.

And any police constable passing by can take a look at it and get it closed. Eradicate video rental stores across India. And reduce the prices of original Video Cassettes/CDs. Not Rs 400 each. If prices are lowered, sales will increase and people can afford buying them.
