| Head on collision accidents by light vehicles and heavy vehicles ( trucks ). Many accidents are occuring during the hours of darkness. Some of the reasons are:
1. Two way traffic.
2. The vehicle head lights cause muach glare to the driver.
3. Restless driving.
4. It may be difficult to asses the type of vehicle that is crossing. Ex: A car driver may not asses / imagine the vehicle coming in the opposite direction. A less room incase of big vehicles. This is due to there is no proper identification for vehicles during the hours of darkness.
5. Driving under intoxication.
6. Accident prone area. Which is nothing but consistent traffic hazard unsolved for many years. Like a road bend, curve, slope, gradient, ramp, vision obstruction, etc.
7. Unauthorized Road works. Construction / repair works that are carriedout with out traffic permit, warning signs, flashing arrows, flashing lights, etc.
There were many accidents disturbing the common life and also transport facility.

1. High ways
2. Motorways
3. Road ways
4. Rail Road crossings (Level crossings)
Drivers and vehicle users should be aware of traffic hazards, danzer zones, speed limits, vehicle condition and suitability.
On a Two Way road (traffic in both the directions) 80 kmph is advantageous to control the situation as well as negotiating the bends & curves.
