Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 22, Dec 2004 7:58:43 PM IST IPC Sections 323, 324, 325, 326,406,304B,482 and 498.
Dowry and related violence is prohibited under these sections of Cr.P.C, not by the constitution.
Posted by: Mr. Vachaspathi V At: 22, Dec 2004 7:56:48 PM IST Dowry was constitutionally banned no?
...
Amateur!
Please tell, what is that Article in the Constitution that bans the dowry?
Posted by: Mr. Vachaspathi V At: 22, Dec 2004 7:42:35 PM IST Failure of enginneering, medicine, law, art, commerce, economics can not justify the killing.
Adding mercy to kill the people because any how many people are killed daily in the name of ill health, accidents, murders, dacoities, invasion, ballllalallallalla !
Review the philosophy !!!!!
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 21, Dec 2004 7:38:38 PM IST Hey Hottie.. yep i agree in part with what you said. But the other part which i feel a bit jarring on my nerves is " I would say they are a heart less bunch ,with the sole objective of money and nothing else ".
I don't agree with this at all. There are many more doctors who are still committed to the betterment of the society, using their expertise and knowledge. I think people who serve as doc's here in US are really money-minting, when compared to their indian counterparts.
Posted by: Janakiram Lakkapragada At: 20, Dec 2004 8:00:03 PM IST I strongly support Mercy Killing. The reasons are very obvious. ChastU batikEkanTE ChAvaDamE beTar . kAdanTArA?
Posted by: Bahud♥♥rapu Baatasaari At: 20, Dec 2004 3:15:04 PM IST Once there was Art.31 in the Fundamental Rights' List..that complicated everything till 44th Amendment. If Mercy Killing or Euthanesia is allowed in India, that directly affends Art.21. Hence, Art.21 must be amended to give permission to Euthanesia....Mercy Killing means killing legally with the acceptance. Only parliament has right to amend the fundamental rights in INdia. If AP Assembly formulated any law relating to Mercy Killing, either HIgh Court or the Supreme Court may declare that at a null and void.
Posted by: Mr. Vachaspathi V At: 20, Dec 2004 1:42:24 PM IST Killing will never be supported.
Once upon a time famous actor Mr. Nutan Prasad had an idea to go for it.
Today he dropped it. He is one among the soceity helping self same time others.
Mercy killing is an human failure closing all the doors on earth for them opening only one door to heaven.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 19, Dec 2004 7:10:19 PM IST I think doctors aren't that blind to allow euthanasia to be performed on a certain patient who, supposedly, is hale and healthy.
Such measures are taken only as a last resort. Just think of the agony and pain which the patients, suffering from serious ailments, undergo and who can't be operated to make them hale and healthy. In such cases euthnasia has to be resorted to coz instead of allowing them to live n wriggle with that pain, it's better to administer mercy killing on them, just as a safety pill.
So, i don't think there's something illegal of a sort involved in this. Think I am not equivocatin here:)
Posted by: Janakiram Lakkapragada At: 18, Dec 2004 9:52:06 PM IST It's very interesting to see.
People are discussion one of the heated debate so easily. It's matter of constitutional, socio-cultural-religious ethics. The mind-set of all the above stated aspects need to take into consideration whether to allow 'Euthanesia' or not.
