I dont think any of the gandhi family can be TESTED . They believe in the theorey of being indestructibles ,just like journalists ,press about the statement of facts in their write ups .

You are correct!
Indians are idol worshippers! And Hero worshippers too! It's is true in case of both North India and South India. Yet to come out from Feudal Mind-Set. But Indira Gandhi started this cult in India by behaving just like dictator. But women then during the Emergency and after the Emergency, and after came into power, called Indira Gandhi as 'Kali'! Hence the start of dynastic rule! But by and large it is being liquidated slowly...but re-emerged again.

Posted by: Mr. Pit and the Pendulum At: 23, Jul 2005 4:42:45 PM IST The fact remains, a person who does service is generally in background, not known, or not recognised. Publicity is core element.
Posted by: DoBoy At: 23, Jul 2005 12:37:07 PM IST 'Swaamikaaryamu' ( prajalE prabhuvulu!) will take back-seat & only 'swakaaryamu' may be done to a larger degree.

Posted by: Mr. Vachaspathi V At: 21, Jul 2005 5:45:50 PM IST If a politician has a will to do good service for the common good, he can. Ex: NTR during his first tenure as CM, took 2 exceptional decisions. One to ban/close wine shops. MOst of women in particular were happy. 2nd being fixing rates of Tiffins for as little as 1 to 2 rs. per plate. This was other important step. Many were happy, though the size did matter of idly and vada. NTR did implement these things.
Posted by: DoBoy At: 21, Jul 2005 2:42:37 PM IST Doboy ,Kerala has 100% literacy .The basic problem with keralites is that they work too hard ,and their intelligence is spent on screwing other people.
In Delhi ,if you happen to visit the south block or the North block ,these blocks are where the ministires are located ,you will be amazed to find that the total no of malayalees and the bengalis would be the highest .
Malayali and Bengali mentality elanti di ante andhi te juttu ,andaka pothe kallu ,patte rakham .
Finally ,who ever shouts slogans and mass promotional programmes ,will be doing so ,and the people who listen to them are the biggest fools .
Both the malayalees and the bengalis who have moved from their state ,have prospered and settled down well ,especially the malayalees of chennai and bangalore and the bengalis of mumbai and Delhi .
I remember Arjun Singh ,commenting about rahul gandhi as immature ,after he became a Mp .
Let us consider people with leadership qualities rather than people from a family or a profession .
Yesterday ,I was watching on BBC ,the address by Manmohan singh ,believe me ,many of our cable channels werent even entu about broadcasting an important address . Such is the pathetic attitude and the selfishness of us Indians ,that such a thing has gone unnoticed and I dunno how many Indians knew or know that Manmohan was in the States Addressing a joint senate .
Posted by: Mr. Pit and the Pendulum At: 20, Jul 2005 6:26:52 PM IST Let us consider Varun Gandhi too, as he is 100% indigenous.
(By the by, in which party can we find him as on date ( & time )? ('state of the art').
For a change, think of top performers in other fields also.
Do not you know that actual ruling of the country (useful part) is done by secretaries and the politicians can only deliver 'slo' 'gans' (useless part)?
Posted by: SATYA RAMA PRASAD KALLURI At: 20, Jul 2005 11:37:54 AM IST hi SDB, morning, wht i meant here was not that he takes over as PM or so , it was an example. What i meant was that some of the senior's have a different mindset. Ex. In Kerala there is total opposition to International Companies coming to set up companies. There is resentment for Middle east countries setting up IT park, etc. It is better they pave wave to youngsters. Most of young people are atleast having some basic degree / qualification. There by may be the corruption will also come down to some extent. Will a educated person suggest to break a glass of Public transport, will they stop from International Business Houses being set up. I am sure there many MP/MLA's who are either illeterate or have bare minimum education. All this has its bearing on their mindset
Posted by: DoBoy At: 20, Jul 2005 11:35:54 AM IST That directionless missile Rahul Gandhi to be at the helm of affairs?
I do not think he can understand as to how he can retain his primeminister-giree when it is given on a platter to him!
He is already notorious for his irresponsible talk.
