lol, mahi ... stories are art fictions ?I agree in totality ,but ,a great many stories are the guiding principles for us ,just like the ramayana and the mahabarat. I would like to point out that ,instead of reading a story and gaining superficial knopwledege ,it is more important to apply the grey mass of volatile material to a more meaningful strife in life .

stories might help you build your character but cant inspire you really. if one wants to get inspired or looks for that please go back into history books. story is just an art a fiction. a life of a person in the past or the present will inspire you really. Like the life of Hitler . Go read mein kamph . go read the works of victor hugo. go search what Bhaghath sing was.what his ideology was. Go read about the battle of trafalghar and Lord Nelson. Go study about the leadership capabilities of Alexander , Napolean, Hitler and Jehangis Khan. Do you know who Michael Collins was?? He is the father of revolution. He won the independance for his Ireland from english who ruled them for 800 years. He was the inspiration for bhaghath singh. He is infact the inspiration to the world. A story or a play wouldnt inspire anyone. It can just lead to a good thought. But inspiration is a thing which is ALIVE all times. Like an olympic torch. And its real.

Hi Vamsi, I am sorry. So it is actually me who misunderstood you. Its ok. Leave it. Yes. Atleast the discussions in the 'Religion' category must be free from diversions. I wish we could start 'Satsang' too everyday, Satsang in the sense, talking something good. It might be on the basis of religion (whatever it may be). Shaloo, as the title of the thread is 'Inspirational Stories', I expected some inspiration from it. Inspiration means it should get us out of a trauma, it should create hope in us, give us or show us the strength within etc., I recently read 'Chicken Soup for the Unsinking Soul'. This is really inspirational. It doesn't contain any dry principles about personality development but it has the real stories of the people who has undergone horrible problems and sailed through despite them. Let us keep this thread alive with such stories. Divert fun to other threads in 'offbeat n jokes' section.

prashanthi garu What i want to tell is hell/heaven is only a joke .There is nothing to inspire people here.Hell/heaven is only a fantasy not reality.

Hi Vamsi, why did you misunderstand me? I am not angry. I just couldn't understand why people are posting as such and I asked the same. As one of the members who is keen on following this thread, I posed this question. I wish to reply the same you have given me. Why do you take my comment in some bad light? Cool. Check the Chicken Soup for the Soul thread. I posted few.

Prashanthi,The subject was Heaven and hell,it is continuing. The essence being humour. Light leena.

Not so good. Is it for humour or for some inspiration? That to the topic is in religion category.
