Today the news is even a superstar like Amitabh could not take bath for 3 days, due to water and electricity problems. One again imagine the plight of a ordinary man.

Mumbai storm water drainage needs Rs. 5000 cr. Illegal constructions caused obstructions for the storm water drainage. Dredging should be continued to maintain high volume flow through creeks. Thane has no creeks in present situation.

The airport has again been closed as a Air India plane just skidded and has shot off the runway. Power is still awaited in some places. Only 75% of trains have been restored.

Very true malak, India have resources in abundance ,but b'coz of dirty politics, corruption , etc they r not utilized properly. I am sorry to say that the situations in Mumbai(cant halndle rains) , gurgaon(police brutalness) , delhi(atrocities on women, no. of rape cases in 7 months are arnd 300!!) , etc etc..proves the defination : INDIA - "India Never Developed In Anything" Its still a developing country and if the situation continues like this , it will remain "developing" country and never become "Developed" country!!

The city is just limping back slowly and coming back to normal. We dont have contingency plan in such flooding of waters and was beyond our imagination. The power is down generally at such times and yet to be restored at some places. Telecommunications is dead, when u need it the most for everybody to know the welfare of their near and dear stuck at different places. The Airport(one of the busiest) International remains closed for more than 2 days or so.So are trains & buses. Major bigwigs of politics, movies, are no where in action in real life. The plus was that Mumbaikars did a splendid job and there were many unsung hero's who saved many lives and provided food, shelter at many places in mumbai. Thank god , we did not have man-holes like in hyderabad, one would hv imagined what have happened, in a place like mumbai. Somebody said, if they see a drowing politician to leave him alone. Let income tax amount revenue collected be well spent atleast this year. Are we now a real superpower and do we qualify to be permanent member in UN?
