| Atleast to stop thinking of that kind of activities, death sentence is must for him. This is problem with this stupid rules. And he didn't do it accidentally or some thing else. He done it deliberately and with much awareness.

I support the punishment, but then .. this guy would go appeal in High Court and then in Supremecourt and by the time the punishment is executed this guy would be 50+ !!!!

Yelchuri Manohar, accused of hacking his classmate Y Srilakshmi on the Sarada P G College premises on June 21 last year in Vijayawada, was held guilty of murder by the Mahila sessions court judge M Chalapati Rao. The prosecution and the defence counsel were engaged in spirited arguments over the awarding of capital punishment to Manohar. Special public prosecutor and legal advisor to DGP K Ramakrishna Rao made a plea to award capital punishment to Manohar, in view of the barbaric and heinous nature of the act. Citing the earlier verdicts passed by the Supreme Court, he said that this murder was a rare case, which befitted capital punishment. Senior advocate Karnati Rammohan Rao made a passionate plea against awarding capital punishment to Manohar. The case was rare, but not the rarest of rare befitting capital punishment, he said. However, sessions judge pronounced that this was indeed a rare case and the acquitted indeed deserves punishment.
