General Forum: Religion | SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ON RELIGION | |
| Many of them cannot understand the essence of God and soul.Religion certainly makes it realise.
Religion is realisation of God followed by certain rules/principles.(these rules and principles are prepared by seers/saints with knowledge.)
But unfortunately interpretations make the difference and only rules/principles are followed without understanding its logic.
So when only rule comes into picture without UNDERSTANDING ITS LOGIC ,number of interpretations and rules arises.
(EVERY ONE KNOWS HINDUISM IS THE OLDEST RELIGION)
HINDU RELIGION BECAME DIFFERENT RELIGIONS with their own set of interpretations and rules.

Posted by: Mr. HAYAGREEVA MURTY Rachuri At: 8, Aug 2005 5:03:53 PM IST Each soul is potentially divine.
The goal is to manifest this divinity within, by controlling external and internal.
Do this either by work,or worship,or psychic control,or philosophy---by one,or more,or all of these -- and be free.
This is the whole of religion.Doctrines,or dogmas, or rituals, or books, or temples, or forms are but secondary details.
