Launching of the Telangana Jagarana Sena (TJS) as a 'militant' wing of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi for separate statehood is fraught with serious consequences.

Many people fought for Samakya Andhra Pradesh and sacrificed their lives. But, today we want division within the state itself. What is the higher limit that a state can be split? Is there any other state talking the same language divided further into smaller states? If this is going to first of such case, are we not arousing passion for other states to follow suit? Why on the earth should one telugu person fight another for narrow mindedness of politicians for petty gains. Until the people unite, politicians will try to gain leverage thru such statements? Before this a referendum has to be taken.

Last time they gave such a call, the real estate in hyderabad was down completely. The investors were thinking twice to invest. What are we trying to communicate to people? Fight telugus Vs telugus thru other physical means? As leaders they should infact try to pacify, if one is agitated or go overboard and turn violent? It is pity that they are giving unnecessary arousal of hatred among one other within the same state? Is this United Andhra? What happens next if Rayalaseema wants a separate state? There is no end to it. If somebody wants to develop sincerely, they can do that sincerely within the available means, for that segregation as separate state is not the solution. I hope good sense prevails among all and this is nipped in the bud without esclating into violence. Only innocent lives will be lost. Pl. think over.

TRS founder and Union Labour Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been claiming that the TRS is all for leading a peaceful struggle for achieving the goal of separate Telangana state. But the chief seems to have been under immense pressure from seniors within the party and the Maoists who are lending silent support to the movement. The ruling Congress party leaders are terming it 'unconstitutional' but are still soft-pedaling the issue. The Telugu Desam promptly demanded the dismissal of Mr Rao and Mr Narendra from the Union cabinet for launching a militant group in their party. Former CLP leader P. Janardhan Reddy said the new outfit was not only “anti-constitutional” but also smacked of militant organisations such as LTTE, JKLF, Al-Qaeda and Taliban, or private armies such as Ranbir Sena of Bihar. Is TRS loosing control on the rank and file or is this the need of hour in its struggle for a seperate Telangana state? Discuss.
