1.Why did you apply for this job? DID I? NO WAY, YOUR HR GUY CALLED ME UP WITH I WAS IN THE LOO AND I SAID OKAY AND SENT MY RESUME ACROSS. BILL GATES OFFERED ME A HI-FI JOB BUT I AM NOT INTERESTED SINCE I WOULD MISS TANKBUND AND IMAX THEATRE IF I GO THERE! 2. Why do you want to work for this company? I HEARD FROM MY SOURCES THAT YOU GUYS ARE POOR AT SETTING THE DEADLINES AND OFFER LOT OF EXCUSES FOR SLIPPAGES. I ALSO HEARD YOU TAKE WORK-BREAKS IN BETWEEN CANTEEN CONVERSATIONS - SO I THOUGHT I WAS A FIT. 3. Why should I hire you? OTHERWISE YOU WOULD RISK A VIDEOTAPE FEATURING YOU AND YOUR GAL FRIEND, BEING VIEWED BY YOUR WIFE! 4.What would you do if this happened? IT IS MY BOSS'S FAULT AND MY SUBORDINATE'S MISTAKE COMBINED WITH MY PEER'S JEALOUSY. SO ITS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX IT. 5.What is your biggest strength? A HIKE EVERY 3 MONTHS 12 What are your career goals and how do you plan to achieve them? MAKE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT ADN IW OULD LIEK TO BE A CONSULTANT 13. I DID HEAR ABOUT YOUR COMP 15 MINUTES BACK WHEN YOUR HR SPOKE TO ME AND THE CAFETARIA IS WOW 14.What is the salary expected and how do justify that? I AM NEGOTIABLE BUT IT SHOULD BE 100% MORE THAN WHAT I WAS EARNING OR 50% MORE THAN WHAT YOU ARE GETTING, WHICHEVER IS GREATER

1.Why did you apply for this job? I looked at the job profile and thought that it suits my skills and my interest. 2. Why do you want to work for this company? *State the current vision of the company, and their domain of work, from their web site* and I think I will have a good role to play in acheiving the vision of the company and I can grow along with company 3. Why should I hire you? *Describe your abilities and past aceivements that suit job description(or make them suit)* and hence, I think I am a right guy for this job 4.What would you do if this happened? Blabber a lot. First, blabber a lot. At end, tell him what would be the better thing to do in that situation. Reharse several times for several questions before you take up the actual interview 5.What is your biggest strength? Straight forwardness, informal approach with team mates, other vertical departments (or any thing that is a strength in companies view. REMEMBER, this will have a corresponding question, so give such a strength that also suits your weakness. Some times, first question will be weakness and then strength. To avoid subsequent discussion/argument, make your weakness as a strength or your strength as your weakness) 6.What is your biggest weakness? Well, I think being straightforward is my weakness too, as some managers always like the guys who can put the bitterness inside a sweet wrapper and present, but I put the bitterness upfront. 7.What was your worst mistake, and how did you learn from it? Again, blabber a lot. Then, from there, pull over to one (fantacy) mistake, for example, in so and so project, one fine evening, user dept manager called me and asked me to do some thing very urgently and there is no time to get this done formally and he promised he will take the formal approach later while I do this work... and he never did it, but you were caught. And then you learnt the importance of process, politely convincing the user etc etc. 8.What accomplishments in your last position are you most proud of? You can take a best example in off-shoring projects... you went on-site for knowledge transfer and they didn't cooperated with you folks and you convinced them in such a way that all of you guys are striving for the organizational benefit but not for individual benefit etc etc. And then got the project to off-shore. Remember, keep blabbering on this. 9.Describe a challenge you faced and how you overcame it? Blabber in the same way as above (8) and beat around the bush. 10.Why did you leave/ are you leaving your last job? Tell them that you are happy with the current job, but family circumstances made you to look for another job(PROVIDED new job in new location and your current company is not having a branch there) This is the safest answer OR Describe the job profile and tell them how it matches you and hence, you thought you will be having a much suited work in the new one and actually that triggered you to change the job. 11.What do you want from this job? Again blabber the job description and how you want to handle it with your abilities and tell him that you wanted your skills to be utilized properly in performing the job 12 What are your career goals and how do you plan to achieve them? To handle the new job effieiently, aligh yourself quickly to the objectives of the organization and grow up in the ladder along with the organizational growth 13. Did you hear of our company and what do you know of us? Before taking up interview, have some priliminary idea about the organization, it's clients, their domains etc. and blabber them 14.What is the salary expected and how do justify that? Being in MNC and that too for quite some time, the hikes are less and hence, you are at this salary level, but in the market the price is at this range and hence, you are asking for this much. If the locaiton is different, always talk about cost of living(where ever you live, the cost of living is less than the city where you are going) etc.

Honestly, we will have these answers in our mind ... but we give different, tailored and suitable answers to the guy ! 1.Why did you apply for this job? I have applied for many jobs along with this and you called me now. 2. Why do you want to work for this company? I have to work for some company who ever gives me a job, I don't have any specific copmany in mind. 3. Why should I hire you? You have to hire some one, you may give me a try. 4.What would you do if this happened? Well, it depends my mindset and mood at that situation... 5.What is your biggest strength? Basically, daring to join any company who pays me well, without thinking of the fate of company 6.What is your biggest weakness? Girls 7.What was your worst mistake, and how did you learn from it? Joining my earlier company and learnt that I need to jump to get more money, so I am here today 8.What accomplishments in your last position are you most proud of? Had I accomplished any in my last position, why do I need to change my job? I could demand more and stay there. 9.Describe a challenge you faced and how you overcame it? Biggest challenge is answering the question "why are you looking for a change" and I started blabbering irrelavently to overcome that. 10.Why did you leave/ are you leaving your last job? For the same reason why you left your earlier job 11.What do you want from this job? If no work is given but keep giving good hikes 12 What are your career goals and how do you plan to achieve them? Make more money and for that keep jumping copmanies for every 2 yrs 13. Did you hear of our company and what do you know of us? Yeah, I know that you will ask this, I've gone through your website 14.What is the salary expected and how do justify that? Well, no one will change job for the same salary, hence, give me 20% extra than what I am getting and that is unpublished industry standard (I know you will bargain on what ever I ask, hence, I have already hiked my current salary by 30%)

By answering this, it would probably make you prepare for a Mock Interview and also help u realise your pros and cons.
