Why tag your father's or your husband's name to it?
Manu, the ancient Hindu lawgiver,enjoins that a woman is incapable of surviving without the protection and surveillance of a male.She should,therefore,be under her father during her childhood,her husband during her youth and married life,and her son during her old age!
DO YOU AGREE?
If not, you can atleast refuse to affix your father's name,his caste to your own name before marriage and your husband's name, caste after marriage.
Your name is the symbal of your individuality.Don't let it be submerged and become an appendage to someone else's.Let it not denote your religion,caste--all such symbals are divisive and place you in a watertight compartment.
Actually this is one view.I elicite your views on this through disscussion.
