| 1. I will ask you one thing that are you aware of or do agree that Italian is greater or famous in the Europe?
2. When did Italian become famous? Which period?
3. What about English in those days?
Some More Examples:
Manchester Of India is given to Bomabay; So are you praisin Manchester or Bomabay?
That's yhe reason Siva Sena did a great job by changing the Bomabay VT to CST. It's our land and our property and the identification by ourself not a comparison to others.
Media objected to this trend changing of names; TATA Jamshadji founder of steel plant, airport etc. Even TATANAGAR on his name; They are Parsis's migrated from Persia( IRAN ). So there is no harm in changing such names in the National Interest and dedicating to the nation.

Posted by: Mrs. Saila Sarigala At: 8, Jul 2004 10:21:00 PM IST One more point - Telugu is NOT "born from Sanskrit". However, more than 60% of Telugu vocabulary is from Sanskrit and ALL of it's grammar. The closest relatives to Telugu are the tribal languages spoken around the present Andhra region. It is interesting to note that vocabulary-wise Telugu retains more Sanskrit than modern-day Hindi although Hindi is more directly related to Sanskrit. Tamil and Kannada are related to Telugu but they are more directly related to each other than to Telugu belonging to the same subgroup among the Southern languages.
