General Forum: Religion | God is shapeless, invisible, omnipotent, omnipresent, irrelegious.....U agree? | |
| We worship God to grant us the final goal that is permanent existence to be free from all these miseries and troubles of life. Some worship him in form some worship in thought and some worship him in all their life activities and depending up on the intensity of their devotion god grants his grace and bless them.It is because of not knowing the correct means of sadhana we resort to al these forms of worship. It is like starting stage that we worship Gods with forms and that worship lead us to the next finer state of worship through thought which takes us to higher spiritual conditions where we reach a stage of non action or living dead condition similar to death called samadhi which is the final state of existence of body.so every devotee is given a chance to realise and the self realisation or god realisation is the final state of existence of body which later dissolves but the sadhana continues even beyond this life of that body till the final dissolution which comes once the balance of life is tilted too much and needs reconstruction by the nature. So whatever may be the style of worship one is sure to reach this final destination in one life or many lives depending up on the intensity of his devotion to God.

If you check the astrology Q&A's you will see that most DOB's are after 1970s, who invariably ask how to get Visa, foreign tour marriage etc. etc.
I had never seen our older generation people asking astrolegers any trivial q's.
I wonder how many parents now name their children as A-Z God names so that atleast one god will look upon favourably(but they have another name for common purpose anyway)
Same applies to Big and Grand temples. How much money one can spend for Abhisekham and Archanas at Tirupati/Shirdi and how much they can think of giving to Charity.
The Omnipresent God! Does he want copious amounts of milk for Himself or would He like
to see that to be given to a needy starving child.

Posted by: Dr. kuchibhotla subrahmanyam subrahmanyam At: 13, Nov 2003 3:27:45 AM IST All this seem to me like discussing about a dish served on the dinner table without tasting it eventhough nobody objects if is tasted first to have a discussion on its ingradients! we have been endowed with all necessary implements to realise God if we have the genuine urge and craving! the title giveus a feeling that it is very difficult to recognise Him due to those attributes which are beyond human comprehension. So the purpose of this discussion on such a vital subject can not be concluded without having the satisfaction that we 'gained' something by 'losing' something! one can deduce what is lost or what is gained only through practical approach rather than otherwise.

Posted by: GOTIGERS At: 6, Oct 2003 4:03:11 AM IST without criticism, good can't be appreciated. i feel critics needs to be taken in positive manner rather taken in negative sense. One should come above their maturity level to do so.
