| There was a day at Niloufer when more than 16 kids died and that was not during the strike.
When you take averages, there will always be one or two exceptions that fall beyond the control limits.
Rush or no rush .. the emergency cases are always brought to the hospitals - by the way it is the senior doctors that are in charge of emergencies - not the Junior doctors and the seniors are not on strike!

Niloufer strike called off
Staff Reporter
Government promises adequate security arrangements
HYDERABAD: The flash strike launched by junior doctors at Niloufer hospital on Friday was called off on Sunday.
Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors Association Niloufer unit president G. Harikrishna said the strike was called off in view of the assurances given by Principal Secretary (Health) P.K. Agarwal.
"We have been assured that a police outpost will be set up in Niloufer and all Government hospitals shortly while Mr. Agarwal has issued directions to recruit an efficient security agency for internal security in Niloufer. Steps are also being taken to set right water shortage in the casualty," Dr. Harikrishna said.
The junior doctors, claiming they were calling off the strike to avoid inconvenience to patients, however said they had no hopes of the Government keeping its promises.

One can actually count hte number of deaths before the strike and the same after the strike and then compare them to find the facts about the impact of the strike!
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 7, Dec 2007 8:59:12 PM IST That time JESUS fought with LUCIFER.
Today YSR fighting with NILOFER.
Asalu sangathi emiti?
KUPPAM lo AROGYA SREE jaitra Yatra.
TDP strategy to blame YSR.
They choose NILOFER.
Why all these things are happening in this hospital only?
Something wrong with MEDIA and the opposition? If NILOFER cannot manage hospital state govt shall take over and get rid of the social evils. We service people in hospitals not politicians. If the staff intrested in politics it is not the right place for them.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 7, Dec 2007 9:49:25 AM IST Recently YSR reopened a sick unit, sugar cane crushing unit. CBN closed many private units without compensating and clearing dues to employees. YSR govt shall do something to the poor.

Right .. Point taken! But again it is evident that we only tend to go by what we see and dont go beyond that ... We are blaming the doctors because we are affected by them but not the MLA, even though the MLA is at a major fault!
The Doctors also need security at the work place ... they were attacked by somebody in the past and the promises regarding their security remained empty, though action was taken against the offender.
Trade Unions, Auto Drivers, RTC Employees go on strike every now and then. In fact I have always opposed the concept of strike but in this case I should say the Doctors are helpless though I am not a big fan of Niloufer Doctors. (My group had been involved in some Blood Donation activities there adn also I know a few practitioners over there). There definitely are problems with Niloufer, I agree but this is a different case wherein no action is being taken against a Criminal and the victims are agitated!
And one more thing .... It's not just about One user Chitti typing something ... I am talking about the General Tendency of the People and their thought process .. I just realized that some of my messages might sound personal and look like they were directed at you - But I want to clarify that it was not the case I was talking about the general Public that includes Chitti but not just Chitti alone!
Tssssk Tsssk .. to be honest with you - even I thought the same way as you did when I heard the news first .. but after reading what all this Afsar guy did and hearing from a few friends at Hyderabad, I realized, the doctors (TO SOME EXTENT) were justified in going on strike (Since the Emergency cases are not being neglected in any case)

So you are not bothered if the Kids dont lose their lives -- even if the Doctors get assaulted ... in that case How can you expect the Doctors to care about the general public?
If you are worried only about your Kids, the Doctors will be worried only about lives! No responsibilites and No ethics!!
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 6, Dec 2007 3:17:58 AM IST Exactly - So you meant that the Docs were supposed to be like Gods but they werent behaving like that ... At the same time there was not a single mention about the MLA who was supposed to be responsible but behaved like a Goon!!
