We, members of SHiFT ( Service n Help in Free-Time - http://rediffchatters.tripod.com ) do work on Organ Donation campaign and Other than eyes, you can donate Liver, Large Intestine, Kidneys, Pancreas and Heart. We have conducted about half-a-dozen workshops on Organ Donation concept and Vinayakam garu said, we carry the Donor cards along with us wherever we go.
We work with MOHAN foundation and you can browse their site www.mohanfoundation.org too
SHiFT still holds the Andhra Pradesh record for mobilizing highest number of people on a single day (75) for Organ Donation.
For further information, you may call any of us or MOHAN foundation people, if you are interested. But please keep in mind one thing - Organs can be taken out of the Human body only in a Brain-Dead state .. and also please (I am sure u woul dbe aware if this) not that Coma is not Brain-death.
