please read this.
Take the word of SOkamu I said it is distress and you mean (in the depth of ancient sanskrit language) it is crying.
How does crying comes ?simply without any emotional feeling?
For your kind information I read all these epics in sanskrit itself.
And the meanings are from sanskrit book itself.
thank you for the discussion.

I always remember Newton's quote"I'm just a boy at the sea shore finding pebbles while the entire sea is left"
Posted by: Mrs. shaloo At: 27, Dec 2005 11:35:05 PM IST 1. at the same time we find the same in sanskrit words also.
Posted by: Mrs. shaloo At: 27, Dec 2005 7:22:02 PM IST 1. Ceratinly I can give meanings to few words. As you kow English words implication can vary with contexts.
2.Philosophy doesnot talk only about soul.It also talks about mind
3.Probably sthita prajNjnata also gives relative meaning for balanced mind.
Posted by: Mrs. shaloo At: 27, Dec 2005 7:13:27 PM IST 1.Philosophy itself is realted to mind.Take the theory of gita.
//As I have explained here several times previously that Mind is not the only functional aspect of human's consciousness. It has its own divisions and sub divisions. I don't think English has equievalent words for all these Samskruta wrods.
2.Name few sanskrit words .
3. And coming to my conclusion on different theories:
Different interpretations on one theory may not give any conclusion.
but
One central idea throughout all these is that of realisation.
(you may call it my conclusion. But I wont say it my conclusion)

Sir
yours is not a modern invention. It is an age old invention.
We may heard about several sages who had gone to forests and practised Tapasya on balanced diet(fruits).
It is the practice to the restraining of the senses.
Posted by: Mrs. shaloo At: 27, Dec 2005 6:15:02 PM IST Balanced diet may result balanced mind !
Modern invention.
