I agree with anupama about the leporsy patients. For long time, they have been treating the leporsy patients with love. The leporsy patients arent touched even by their own families.
I dont think they touch leposy patients for better business.
There are a lot of good things that missionaries do that should be appreciated. At the same time I dont like a few things in them.

There is a reason for missionaries doing social work and there IS a reason for conversions.
1)Christianity originated as a religion for the poor.
2) Many people convert because they are treated like dirt in hinduism because of their lower caste.
They werent even allowed into temples, they arent even allowed to sit beside higher caste people, they arent even allowed to drink in the same glasses as upper caste people do in hotels, they arent even allowed to draw water from the same well as the upper caste people. This keeps happeneing in many parts of the country.
I read about how a dalit lady is stripped just because she drew water from upper caste well a few days ago. IF this happens in modern India, it is silly to still force them to stick to a religion which doesnt even respect them as humans
3) the lower caste people like being in a religion where they are treated as humans, where they can sit beside everyone and pray in a prayer hall.
I dont say the upper caste dont convert. Some of them do because christianity appeals to them better than hinduism does. IT is a personal choice to convert and you cant blame anyone for it.
coming to bribing, helping the poor is not bribing. IF RSS and VHP are doing great social service, why dont people conver to hinduism then?

Killed (or alleged to have) Hiren pandya the gujarat home minister.
Was arrested by hyd polce on charges of blowing up bombs in ganesh temples about 6 months ago. was on bail and attending to DGP office every day to sign. 2-3 weeks ago gujarat police came with arrest warrant. his supporters attacked them. gujarat police ACP fired and killed one of them.
AP police filed FIR against gujarat ACP.
The debate is for a small time thug called Mullah naseeruddiin the ap police gave so much respect, why not for jayendra saraswati.

jayendra Saraswati is a victim of internal politics of the Mutt. he was being pressurized to donate large amounts to certain specific institutions. He refused. So a conspiracy was hatched. First some criminals were hired. They were told that Shankar raman was to be eliminated. They were promised 40 lacs. they were made to pose as devotees running some social service orgns. on the phone they talked about money with jayendra saraswati. this conversation was taped. the money was released by jayendra thinking it was for 'good causes'. similarly he was made to 'meet' the killers, posing as some other people. this was photographed. all the while he thought he was talking to devotees/donors whereas the conspirators were only creating a facade. now he is in a soup. will the courts believe him?
circumstantial evidence will go against him. someone in the mutt is a smart chanakya.
