Posted by: Mr. jogarao pilla At: 27, Oct 2003 12:31:52 PM IST there are living examples around us who made this earth as heaven. they experienced that blissfull condition which is beyond senses and they are too willing to help others who are craving for such life which is the real life than this present life. All that they wanted people to do is to forget about themselves and remember only God which is again not impossible if one has that restlessness and craving to Have only God and nothing else!
Mrs.Anupama, your above article prompted me to post this! fortunately we have somany people around us today who are practising in that system called Sahajmarg founded by Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj of Shahjahanpur in UP in the year 1945 and the system is practised by thousands of practicants all over the world today!

Isn't it that pain is triggered only by the impulses sent by our skins to our brains? When we no longer have this body, would there still be pain?*/
The soul or spirit after leaving this mortal body will put on an immortal body which will enter either heaven or hell... that immortal body shall feel the pain of hell or pleasures of heaven...
in heaven there will be no pain, no thirst, no hunger, nothing that defileth can enter there, no night, no day...
in hell there will be continous fire, neither the wire will be put off nor the worm(immortal body) will die... continous suffering...

Posted by: Mr. Seen s At: 17, Oct 2003 8:37:15 PM IST Oncea lady brought her son who is just a kid to Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and complained to him that the boy was eating too many sweets and Requested Swamiji to advise the boy to stop eating sweets as it may harm his health. Swamiji said ok, bring the boy next week and let us see.
the boy was brought before him and swamiji looked at the boy without saying anything askedthe mother to bring him the next week. Again after another week the boy was brought back to him and swamiji, affectionately took the boy into his lap and smilingly said' my dear boy don't eat sweets they are not good for your health' and the next week the lady came to swamiji and jubiliently told that the boy totally stopped to eat the sweets , but to satisfy her curiosity she asked Paramahamsaji'you could have advised the same in the very first day but why did you make me come to you somany times?Ramakrishna paramahamsaji said "Mother! i my self am fond of Sandesh(a sweet meat popular in bengal)and could not stop eating till you brought your son to me . then I tried and succeeded to stop eating it only after the two weeks of hard trial and so i could boldly advise the boy to stop eating sweets.
moral:Don't preach without practise!~

Posted by: MONARCH 007 At: 15, Oct 2003 3:44:44 PM IST A king sent a message to the ruler of a neighbouring country. The message read: "Send me a blue diamond as large as a pigeon's egg or else..."
The king on getting the message wrote back:
"We don't have such a diamond and if we had..."
The first king got very angry and declared war on his neighbour. The fighting went on for several months till a third king arranged a meeting between the two warring rulers. So they met and the first king said to the other: "What did you mean when you said, 'Send me a blue diamond as large as a pigeon's egg or else...'?"
"Why," he replied, "I meant a blue diamond as large as a pigeon's egg or else... some other diamond. I love diamonds. But what did you mean when you said, 'We don't have such a diamond and if we had-'?"
"It is easy to guess my meaning," said the other man. "What I wanted to say was, if we had such a diamond we would have gladly sent it to you."
The Kings pledged to write more clearly in future communications and embraced and made peace.

An Arab while crossing a desert came across a huge rock half buried in the sand. Scrawled on the boulder was this inscription:
TURN ME OVER AND YOU WILL BENEFIT FROM IT
The Arab felt sure there was a great treasure hidden beneath it and worked mightily to turn it over.
He succeeded after several hours. But there was no treasure there, only an inscription on the underside of the rock.
The Inscription Was
GREED IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL REMEMBER THIS AND YOU WILL BE A BETTER MAN.
