| No, soceity ever worried about prostitution infact it promoted. People are worried about the problems being faced by the profession.
Now, AIDS is the problem. That's what worrying but not the prostitution.

Prostitution cannot be banned. I mean, even if it is legally and socially banned, it still exists.
In my opinion, it should be legalised in India, like it is in some of the southeast asian nations. They should be given licenses and these should be periodically renewed based on medical examinations.
At least, that way, there wouldn't be spread of AIDS.
