I have one more interesting question to ask. All you people have said that taking pics with a picture phone( without the knowledge of the person being photographed), is invading other's privacy. But then why do we have a picture phone? it's for taking pictures only. If we limit them saying not to take some pics etc, then are we not limiting his freedom? So, i don't think this ban has to be imposed or strictly checked with. Leave around the political scandals this will unearth like Tehelka etc, i'm talking about pure personal needs. Take for example u come to see Catherine Zeta Jones form the nearest possible distance, then won't u take a photograph of her? Does that mean invading her privacy? I don't think so. So, it's upto the person being photographed to behave or pose well:) outside so that some malicious images may not turn out, suddenly, in the public hands.

Should we or should we not? Any technology has got its own pro's and con's, always. How to use it is up to the society. Well, now a days, these camera phones were creating some nonsense, agreed. I've seen my own colleague taking a snap of a woman who bent to adjust her footwear, in our office premises. We can't really avoid it. But I heard that in few hotels, in their private areas like swim pools, bars etc, they are not allowing the camera phones. I go with imposing restrictions on usage of camera phones. One way, in our Hell, it is some what better. Police are checking for naughty pics in camera phones. But a phone should be a phone and a camera should be a camera. If a snap was taken from some distance, the face will not be clear enough to identify. Hence, the damage to the person is very minimal. But still, it is violating the privary right of the person.

Well .. You usually impose ban on something if you cant keep that harmful thing under control at the lawmakers' / Executives' level. But then this idea of banning Cam Phones is definitely debatable!!! lets see whether we get to see more ideas from other chatters.

Of late, there has been much controversy over the usage of Camera phones for immoral activities at Schools, Fitness Clubs, Swimming Pools etc which amounts to Invasion of Privacy. Ref: http://www.expressindia.com/fullstory.php?newsid=39235 http://www.financialexpress.com/fe_full_story.php?content_id=76061 IN THE WAKE OF THIS, DO YOU THINK THE CAMERA PHONES SHOULD BE BANNED IN INDIA?
