Though I support Mercy Killing .. I dont support any amendment in the current organ donation law ... TO PREVENT ANY MISUSE, IT MUST BE SEEN THATTHE ORGANS ARE DONATED ONLY BY THE BRAINDEAD PATIENTS .. but the Red tape norms involved there can be eased a lil

only in medically uncurable cases we should go for mercy killing.

Mr. Venkatesh, who is suffering from a rare disorder, who yearned to donate his organs before his death, died, in the early hours of thursday, with an unfulfilled wish. On Wednesday, based on the recommendations of a panel of doctors, the court had refused to grant Venkatesh's death wish. The court held
that organs can be donated only by those, who are brain dead or those who die a natural death. However Andhra Pradesh High Court set up a new panel of doctors to test Venkatesh reacting to his mother's plea. His heroic attempt to help others live, sparked off a debate about mercy killing and organ donation. Many claimed an amendment in the Act would cause more harm than good. What do you think?
