The junior Shankaracharya of the Kanchipuram mutt Sri Vijayendra Saraswati has been arrested by the Tamil Nadu police and charged with murder and criminal conspiracy in the Sankararaman murder case.
The junior Shankaracharya has been sent to 14 days judicial custody to the Chennai central prison.
The arrest came within hours of the Supreme Court's decision to allow bail to the Shankaracharya of Kanchi Jayendra Saraswati.
Do you think the law is taking its own action or the arrest politically motivated?
