Posted by: Mr. Harsha Vardhan Ganipineni At: 27, May 2003 9:49:53 AM IST if u cut open these muscleses u can find peritonial cavity contanning visceral organs like stomach which is coverd by greater omentum and lesser omentum. omentum is a serous sac which envoleps the stomach.
stomach lies at these regins of abdomen.
at slightly towards RT hypogastric and extends toward epigastric above the umblicus.
stomach contains 3 parts, fundus body and pylorus. there are two sphincters cardic and pyloric . cardic emptys food from the esophagus in to the stomach and prevents regurgitation.pyloric prevents this from duodenum to stomach.
stomach consits of 2 curvatures greater and lesser. the next part duodenum starts from pylorus and extends up to the superior duodenal flexture.
dudenum is the c shaped curve contanig first, second, third and fourth parts.

abdomen lo first dissection part chepta;
first make a longitudinal incision
along the anterior abdominal wall then
you will find three layers of muscles;1st external olique;2nd internal oblique 3rd transverse abdominis
these 3 muscles help during respiration
due to intra abdominal pressure these muscles contract &relax.
the next layer of muscle is rectus abdominis
enclosed in the ractus sheat
