According to patanjali chittam (mind) is divided into manas,buddhi and ahamkar(the recording,dicriminating faculties and ego respectively)
He gives an example:
Suppose a bull is on the verge of attacking him.
Manas says a large animal is approaching.
Buddhi decides it is a bull.
Ahamkar declares it wants to attack me,It is "I" who am frightened and going to do some action.
Scientifically:
Eyes which see the bull sends the message to the optic lobe in the brain through the optic nerve.Optic lobe which has associate areas establishes connection with all parts of the brain to recognise and identify the type of visual image to take appropriate action.It sends message to motornerve of the required part of the body thus resulting in output.
All these are inter related.
Coming to the point of mind and self:
When mind becomes almost free from all activities and meditated it melts in the inner self.
The atma---- is knowledge,is intelligence and is sachidananda.

True Philosophy is not the study of merely putting belief in God or leaving every thing to God..
It teaches how to lead bissful(not happy)life.It is a study of inner mind (self) which we unknowingly/ignorantly left somewhere in this practical world.
if anybody is well interested to study philosophy i suggest to go through the books of swamivevekananda.]
And vedaas apart from science also taught true philosophy.

ya, it is true that science has never discovered any origin. It simply left blank without giving any philosophical explanations like vedaas.
Though the origin is a mystery to science,it tried to give out logics,reasonings,explanantions to some extent on certain happenings which we mis understood them as something extraordinary events.

what is vAAyuvu ? oxygen ,co2 ?
what is fire ? friction?( for ur information oxygen helps to burn fire and co2 do exactly oppsite)vE daalu mUlaanni cheppai
Further we stepped to know what is space,sky,planetsetc... We try to discover, findout things more .Space is vaccum.Sky is filled with air clouds etc.
Some times we discovered the origin and sometimes we couldnot. .
The conception of science begins from experiments , traverses through contras, forms a hypothesis and concludes in a law. But Not all hypotheses end in a law.
vEdaalu cheppinA,science(SAstramu) cheppinA (proof tO)it is all knowledge what man wants to know.
AlAgE we tried to go further with spritual knowledge in search of God .
Whatever existed existed here.
Knowledge should be used in a right way. If it is in the hands of wrong people it is misused and harmful to the earth.

This knowledge is infinite. Whether u want to go spritually,technically,scientifically or by any other means it is upto you.
How and why these 5 elements are formed is still a mystery until we discover them.When we come to know the reason than the mystery unravels into a knowledge.
