I totally agree with Prasad. No form of reservatios is acceptable.
"Don't give them fish. Teach them how to catch one."
Provide all facilities to the needed sections irrespective of caste/gender, and let them compete with the rest. Let them realize that nothing comes for FREE, and realize their potential in making India prosperous.
And it will take 200 years to become a developed nation as of current standards, and by that time, we will be the most underdeveloped as per standards at that time.

Two wrongs can't make it right. And you are just doing that by providing reservations the way they existed now. Earlier some section of the people suffered because they belong to a certain caste/section. By providing reservations this way we are not addressing the real problem. Just giving them seats in education and parliament will NEVER solve this problem. Instead, it does the same kind of menace on a different section of the people Unfortunately poor people in so called higher castes.
And it drag the performance of the country to the abyss.
Most ( NOT ALL ) of the people belong to these sections, always just manage to secure just pass marks, even when they have potential to top the lists. Because, they are assured of a seat/job at next leven. This is possible, because only FEW of the eligible are using, in fact MISUSING the reservations. The other part is still suffering from oppression, from their own section.
-) why can't government restricts reservation to one member in the family, so that it can reach to the real breadth of the community.
-) The problem was a social issue. But we are addressing it in a different location, than where it is happening.
In US, racial issue is almost as severe issue as our caste menace. But see how they handled and how they are progressing. You can see them almost in equal numbers in every industry. Now compare people of these sections in competetive industries where there are no resevations. The number is no where on the scale, comparing industries where they are given jobs because of their castes.

Hello All!
These are my views on this old topic. I do beleive that resevations will not bring the brights up. No Doubt. reservations are bad for system in future. So that may be the reason no country has adopted this type of upliftment method. And no one dare to remove in future too.
But I wanna put different view of the system.
Ok. WHo are the bright people. If we say bright are the one who top eamcet, Jee, Imm, civils ect..I don't agree. Those are the people who can do hard work and have money. Those are the poeple whose parents can afford. Offcourse always there are exceptions. Just look at the no.of patents we get every year.
Finally these toppers will go and settle for jobs where there is no free hand for them in society and work under currupted policticians.
In my view intelligence can be measured by no.of scientists , no.of new things we invent & so on Any thing new to the society.
The people who are enjoying the reservations are the low casts. For somany years these people their parents or grand parents have suffrered lot of pain. They were denied of education, entry into politics, jobs..what not.
Now they are enjoying the things. I feel it is payback for those people who suffrered. I do not know how long. It is thousands of years Vs 55 years sofar. Think for a while.
In Indian given the opurtunity, and training , any one( even people in slums) can become a doc,engg,ias,ips,iitian ect.
SO I just want reservation opposers think in different direction.
These are my views only. do not take them seriously.
