Compare the similar issues, Kiranji.
If Jayendra Saraswathi's issue was sensationalised, he is a man. But Imrana issue is related to the issue of gender equality issue. It's not the issue of Muslims alone, it's the issue of all the religions communities. Even though Quran gives fair treatment of womem, Puranas deified the woman. Deification means shackles!denying equal opportunities. But after the marriage both are almost similar, due to patriarchal and capitalist tendecy of mind-sets. In Islam marriage is contact, in HInduism it's devine, before three decades, even Divorce is not allowed in Hinduism, where Islam permits. This Divorce attitude too misused by Muslims. But majority of HIndu women don't go for divorce even though there is domestic disturbances or violence, they prefer to suffer. It happens in majority Hindu women. Hence, it's an enforced sanctity of marriage, but voluntury in many cases. If one listens the divorce issues in Courts, one may easily notice it.
No religion promotes or sanctified inequality. But it's the vested interests in history created this enforced inequalities that are enforced by this time. You may take Upanishads or Quran or Bible....if at all they promote such inequalities, they would had disappeared from society. But....it's hadn't happened. They are true in essence, but in practice falsified by successive generations.

Deobond, now facing a lot of criticism across the world including Muslims.

If you are interested to bash Muslims go ahead. NObody will stop u.
If Deobond or Muslim Law Board stated that no rape has committed, it's shame of it.
But one thing is sure...Imrana will commit suicide if the discussion about the rape continued in the Media for long time as no woman in India come forward telling that she has raped. Even if one comes, the media will sensationalise that incident. Persuation...lack of fighting spirit for justice....will definitely make a couple to escape from public scruitiny.

Today's news is that this could not be a fact, but was blown out of propotion. The fact being that the son /daugther in law did this for the sake of/ retaining the property, the father in law wanted to sell. If so, what is the position of father in law now?
