1.three lits into 3 lit vessel
2.tranfer it to 5 lit vessel=>3lits in 5 lits vessel.
3.again 3 lits into 3 lits vessel
4.transfer it to 5 lits vessel =>5 lits in 5 lit vessel and 1 lit in 3 lit vessel
5.pour the five lits back into 8 lit vessel and transfer 1 lit (in 3 lits vessel) to 5 lit vessel
6.fill 3 lit vessel and add it to 1 lit (already in 5 lits vessel) =>4 lits in 5 lits vessel.
i am damn sure i am right..

take 5 from eight vessel
take 3 from five vessel
add this 3 to eight vessel
so total 6 in eight vessel
transfer 2 lit from five vessel to 3 vessel
transfer five from eight vessel to five vessel
so one left in 8 vessel
tansfer 1 ltre from 5l to 3l vessel so it is full
so 4 lits remain in five lit vessel
add three lits to main 8 lit vessel

ok,another fresh and easy one :
A milk man i having 8 litre CAN full of milk... he also have empty 5 litre and 3 litre cans... A customer comes and asks for 4 litres... How will the milkman measure and give...
rules:
1) u shd not measure 1/2 of 8 litre and give
2) no extra containers allowed
3) not a drop to be wasted...
4) using the 3 cans measure and give 4 litre...

that means u didnt get what i meant....
i am not talking abt the performance of the horses depending on time......if once lost,is lost,..thats alll...
For D2 and E2 , already D1 > D2
and A1 , B1 , C1 > D2
so,there r atleast 3 persons greater than D2
...so,eliminate D2....hmmmm..misunderstanding..

raj i don think this is a reasonable answer..u only said tht the horse comin in second position in first race may take a better lead in the other race..so u shudn't eliminate d2 n e2....
